How to Use Ppeum Clinic

*From the moment you enter to the end of your treatment, a translator will be with you through all the steps   

1. Go to the 6th floor, how the front desk the appointment card you received after making the appointment at Creatrip, and fill out the Agreement Form for Collection of Personal Information/Use for Marketing Purposes.
2. When your name is called, receive a consultation regarding the skincare procedure you will be receiving at the consultation room.
3. Go to the 7th floor and wait momentarily. 
4. When your turn comes, go to the powder room and store your luggage in the locker. (You may need to change your clothes depending on the treatment)
5. Follow the guide to the treatment room.
6. Receive the delicate treatment procedure from the doctor in charge.
7. After the treatment is over, go back to the powder room and get your belongings.
8. Depending on the treatment, there may be a prescription. Receive the prescription and go to the pharmacy to receive your medicine.
   

Our Visit

We've arrived at Myeongdong's famed skincare clinic, Ppeum Clinic. All around the building you can find phrases in foreign languages including Chinese. 

At Ppeum Clinic, staff members who speak Chinese, English, and Japanese are always on standby. So don't worry about communication! 

Ppeum Clinic is located on the building's 6th-7th floor. You go through reception and consultation on the 6th floor and receive the treatment procedures on the 7th floor. 

When you arrive, go to the 6th floor first through reception, and receive guidance and consultation.

We wanted to first show you the interior on the 6th floor. Why? Because Ppeum Clinic has such a cute interior design! It's like you've stepped into a dollhouse!

I, the editor, have also used Ppeum Clinic before. I still remember being impressed with how cute the waiting room was. You can tell that efforts were made to make the environment aesthetically pleasing and comfortable, taking the customer's full experience at the clinic into consideration. 

If you enter the 6th floor, you need to sign a few forms including the Agreement Form for Collection of Personal Information/Use for Marketing Purposes and then go through reception.

If you have any questions about the agreement form before you sign it, ask a staff member that can speak your language! They'll be happy to help you with a friendly attitude.

When it's your turn, your name will be called. Receive consultation about your procedures with your assigned consultant.

As we mentioned before, staff members who can speak foreign languages are always on standby, so you don't need to worry about language issues when receiving a consultation.

After your consultation, go to the 7th floor where the treatment room is located, and wait.

When your name is called again, go to the powder room to store any belonging you don't immediately need and change into more comfortable clothes if necessary.

The treatment we'll receive today is the "Lip Filler" which will give us sexy, charming lips.   

It's a procedure that simply injects filler into the lips, adds life to the lip shape, and makes it plump. Considering the treatment time alone, it's a simple procedure that only took 5-10 minutes!

Lip Filler + Lip Corner Botox Step 1. Taking the "Before" Photo 

For the lip filler, they take the "before" and "after" photos so that the customer can see the results of the procedure.

The "before" and "after" photos are only used for the purpose of showing the customer the results of the procedure. They are never used for any other purposes. 

If you don't want to take and see the "before" and "after" pictures, you can sign the Agreement Form for Denial of Photographs, and not have your pictures taken. If you don't want to take the pictures, don't hesitate and make sure to say so!

Lip Filler + Lip Corner Botox Step 2. Anesthetic Cream

As a needle is used when injecting the filler, the procedure might be a little painful. 

So before beginning the procedure, anesthetic cream is applied to the lip to numb the lips. Although anesthetics are applied, that doesn't mean there's no pain at all when injecting the filler...  

No pain, no gain! You'll become as beautiful as you've endured pain!

Lip Filler + Lip Corner Botox Step 3. Removal of anesthetic cream & Confirming product

After some time passes, they wipe off the anesthetic cream. After that, they show you the product that they are going to use for the procedure and remove the seal in front of you, so you know that it is a new product. 

As the price of the procedure differs largely according to which product is being used, we gained a lot more trust after they showed us they were using the right product!   

Lip Filler + Lip Corner Botox Step 4. Lip Filler Injection

The doctor in charge comes on time and asks what lip shape the customer wants. For procedures that involve needles like fillers, they always have a doctor come to apply the procedure!

Our model brought a picture of the lip shape she wanted and showed it to the doctor. That was a smart move! If you're interested in getting a filler, you should bring an image of what you want!

An employee that can translate is constantly on standby on the 7th floor, so call for them if you need translation!

The order of injecting the filler was "lower lip → upper lip → adjusting the overall balance".

The doctor constantly checked the lip shape in the middle of the procedure to check if the lip was turning into the shape that we wanted.

Lastly, if you get the lip corner botox, where they turn the corners of your lips upward! 

Lip Filler + Lip Corner Botox Step 6. Completion + Ointment 

The area where the needle was inserted may bleed slightly. They wipe the area where it bled and finish by applying an ointment with antibiotics to prevent infections. That's it for the procedure! It was really simple, and it only took 5-10 minutes.

Lip Filler + Lip Corner Botox Step 7. Taking the "After" Photo(7F) and Checking the "Before" and "After"(6F)

After taking photos of the lips again, we go back down to the 6th floor to check the "before" and "after" photos.

Our model, who had previously received lip filler approximately 2 years ago, rejuvenated her plump lips and removed her lip wrinkles with the procedure!

Because there is some swelling caused by the needle on the day of the treatment, this is a photo our model sent us the next day. Can you see it looks a lot more natural?   

Lip Filler + Lip Corner Botox Step 8. Receiving Prescription (Hospital) + Preparing Medicine (Pharmacy)

For lip filler aftercare, you receive a prescription for medicine so you'll have to head to the pharmacy. Check the directions at the bottom of this blog post to get to the nearest pharmacy!

Also, before you leave, ask for a mask to wear on your way out.

If you have time, drop by this area! It's an area on the 6th floor where you can fix your hair. After you are done receiving your treatment, fix your tousled hair, and check whether your treatment went okay with the mirror! Now that you're done with the procedure, fix your hair and makeup here, and go straight out to Myeongdong and enjoy a nice day!

Things to Keep In Mind After the Procedure:

After the procedure, it's best to avoid drinking/smoking/sauna/jjimjilbang for at least 3-7 days. 

Bruises/swelling/pain may get worse from the day after the procedure and may continue for 1-2 weeks.

Avoid washing your face/makeup for 2-3 hours after the procedure, and take caution not to press hard or apply pressure to the treated area.

Take the prescribed antibiotics well, and contact the clinic if the treated area turns black or if severe pain/itching/fever occurs.

How to Get There

A 3-minute walk from Myeongdong Station Exit 6.

Get out of Myeongdong Station Exit 6, and turn left, then go straight.

Take a right at the LIFEWORK Coffee Shop. 

Go straight for 1-2 minutes on foot, and you'll see Ppeum Clinic to your left. Get beautiful!

How to get to the Pharmacy

Get out of Ppeum Clinic and turn left, then go straight for about 500 meters.

If you go straight, you'll see Ai Pharmacy to your right.

Q1. Can I go back to everyday life immediately after the treatment?
A1. Yes. In 2~3 hours you can wear cosmetics, and wash your face.

Q2. Can't I make a reservation from another platform?
A2. Currently the Korean government is only providing "medical tourism" permits to affirmed Korean travel agencies or travel sites. It is illegal for foreign companies to make reservations for hospitals in Korea.
