The street food scene is the hottest in winter!
Oppa's going to introduce you to some of the best street foods you can find in Hongdae.
Hongdae
1. Fish Cake (odeng)
Hongik University station exit 8
Odeng (fish cake) : ₩1,000 / skewer
Warm up with a steamy fish cake soup on a winter day! The soup is free for customers.
You pay after you've finished eating. Count the number of skewers and pay accordingly.
TIP: Try brushing soy sauce on the fish cake too. 😋
2. Mini Bungeoppang & Egg Bread
(Hongdae Main Street Entrance)
Mini Bungeoppang : ₩2,000 for 7
(Red bean flavour & cream flavour! You can mix them up!)
Egg Bread : ₩1,500Cheese Egg Bread : ₩2,000
3. The Hotteok (Address: 서울 마포구 홍익로2길 13)
Mmm, classic hotteok (pancake with stuffing inside) for ₩1,500원!
This place has an automated payment machine and the steps are as follows:
1. Choose packaging method (cup if you're going to eat it right away / packed)
2. Pick flavours
3. Choose payment method (cash / card)
4. Check your number and pick up your hotteok when your number appears on the screen!
4. Hoppang & Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Roasted Sweet Potato : ₩2,000
This yummy snack is believed to be good for diets in Korea.
Lots of locals think of sweet potatoes when it comes to winter snacks.
Hoppang 3 flavours (Red Bean ₩1,100 / Veggie ₩1,300 / Pizza ₩1,300)
TIP: Red bean hoppang and milk go so well together. Highly recommended!
