1. Do Seoul Metro Line 2 Trains Have Less Seats?
New trains have that have started operating on Seoul Metro line 2 have less seats than the older ones.
The new trains only have six seats in a row while the old ones have seven. The reason for this is because the new ones are a bit more spacious. And the overhead racks can only be found in older trains.
There's also more space for standing in the newer trains. Locals say these changes could have been made to accommodate growing number of passengers on line 2.
It is surely one of the most crowded Seoul Metro lines!
2. Do You Get Amazing Cell Coverage In Korea?

5. Koreans Get No Days Off In Monsoon Season?
Rainy season is raging in the subtropics, and South Korea is one of the countries affected by it. A period of heavy rains and cloudy days come every summer.
Many countries with consistent monsoon seasons/typhoons often have holidays during those periods. However there is no monsoon or typhoon holidays in South Korea. Similar to the system in Japan, it's up to each company's discretion.
Apparently this is because Korea has fixed working hours and holidays, so the government is reluctant to set a holiday period for rain. So unfortunately, Koreans still have to go to work even when there's rain, wind, and thunders.
6. Do Korean College Students Get A Super Long Winter Vacation?
University students here get time off in the summer from late June to September, and then a winter vacation from late December to February or March.
Korean college students have a lot of time off, and classes commence for 7 months every year.
7. Is North Korea's Literacy Rate 100%?
Following the replacement of Chinese characters with hangul in Korea, the literacy rate has increased year after year. Korea now is a country with one of the highest elderly literacy rates in the world.
What's more surprising? North Korea’s illiteracy rate is 0%.

8. Are Koreans Impatient?
The bballi-bballi (quickly quickly) culture has to be the driving force behind the economic miracle of Han River. Koreans definitely like to get things done fast.
Locals can often be seen rushing to work, to get off the bus, to study, to develop relationships, to talk, etc. Is this why South Korea's internet speed is so fast?
