Hongdae is a great place to have fun, but there are too many people. We found out that Koreans would go to Yeonnamdong, which is a place nearby Hongdae. In the alleys of Yeonnamdong, there is superb cuisines and unique cafes. The two places I visited is a hot place in Yeonnamdong, and only Korean hipsters know about this place.
Slow, Cali
Hidden in the alleys of Yeonnamdong, you can spot a super-unique building. Take the stairs on the left side, and you'll arrive at a restaurant called Slow, Cali.
It has the same leisurely feeling as its name. The space in the store is not big, but the large glass on both sides and the American beach style interior provides a comfortable atmosphere.
With lively American music played as BGM, it feels like your in a California or Hawaii.
The menus are mainly divided into Grill and Poke. After selection, choose your base: green rice, brown rice or salad. Then pay at the counter. The waiter will soon deliver the food to you.
At the back of the menu, the restaurant kindly provides pictures of their menu. The restaurant recommends the above foods.
I ordered the spicy salmon with green rice, it was like a rainbow, and the appearance was very attractive.
Salmon did not have too much gluten, and it tasted quite fresh and sweet. Korean spicy sauce and the faint green tea flavoured rice went well together. This rice is rich in fiber. It's no wonder that so many Korean girls love this dish.
People said that the Oriental tofu was delicious, and like the rumour, it was very delicious. The portion isn't large, so it is very fitting for girls who are on a diet.

Zakdangmoi
This cafe called Zakdangmoi is located on the second floor. Zakdangmoi in Korean means two or more people gather to work together and discuss. Let's go inside if we can find out why they named this cafe like this.
My friends and I arrived at 13:30, and the cafe was full. several people were queuing in front of us, and about half an hour later, we were finally able to get a seat. We could tell that this place was a hot place.
The interiors were very American. There is a certain distance between each table so you can talk freely with friends without feeling overheard.
There is a hidden space under this chair where you can store your bags or coats.
There are many choices of drinks and pastries. Zakdangmoi's menus were mostly fruit-themed but there were few that was not. Each one looked so attractive and delightful!
Check this out! Aren't these photos look just magnificent? It would be perfect for Instagram. No wonder why many girls come to this cafe. The mood and food here are so beautiful that you could take photos with your eyes closed and it would still look fantastic.
It looks beautiful but does it also taste delicious? This Zakdangmoi's ade with fresh and sweet berries was refreshing and had no artificial taste. It was like drinking a cool summer!
Another drink we ordered was Zakdangmoi's black tea. It had a lot of apples and was also refreshing and delicious. If you are an apple lover don't miss this drink.
Zakdangmoi's Dacquoise is very exquisite. I've never tried this dessert before so I was really curious how it would taste like.
Dacquoise was soft and tender and the cream was not oily and not too heavy. The raspberry was very fresh and blended well with the soft biscuit. My friend and I stayed here for more than two hours. It seems that this environment is really like its name.
