Required Documents Upon Entry

While K-ETA is no longer required for many countries, you will still need to fill out 3 documents upon arrival in Korea to pass through immigration. If you opt to submit the K-ETA and Q-CODE, you will only have to fill out the Customs Declaration Form, which is required for everyone regardless of which country you are entering from.

1. Arrival Card

All foreigners entering Korea must fill out this Arrival Card to submit to the Immigration authorities. This card is either passed out on the plane or will be available to fill out at Incheon International Airport before going through Immigration. Korean nationals and foreign residents with valid visas do not need to fill this out and can go through Automated Immigration.

If you have K-ETA approval, you do not need to fill this form out. You will still need to go through Manned Immigration for foreigners, but you'll be able to get through the line much faster with the K-ETA! To apply for K-ETA, click the link below!

2. Health Questionnaire

Although PCR testing or quarantine is no longer required, screening is still necessary in order to ensure safety and follow measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The Health Questionnaire is required of all people entering the country, Korean nationals included.

This process can easily be taken care of online with Q-CODE, which will allow you to digitally enter the required information, receive a QR code, and simply have it scanned upon arrival. Click the link below to apply for your Q-CODE!

Q-CODE Application

*Keep in mind that if you have the Q-CODE, you don't need to fill out the yellow Health Questionnaire. Just head straight for the quarantine entry and get your QR code scanned!

3. Customs Declaration Form

Lastly, you'll have to fill out the Customs Declaration Form, which is required for all people entering Korea. If you apply for K-ETA and Q-CODE beforehand, this will be the only document you have to fill out!

If you want to get through immigration quickly, we highly recommend applying for K-ETA and Q-CODE, so you don't waste precious hours stuck at the airport. Click on the link below to get both your K-ETA and Q-CODE applications done in one application!

Things to Keep In Mind

After completing your application for Q-CODE, the Korean government will send the issued QR code to the email you provided at the time of reservation. If you do not receive the email, you can access the QR code from the Q-CODE reservation voucher on My Page on the Creatrip site 1-2 days before your date of entry.

After making a reservation, Creatrip will proceed with the official application using the information you provide.

You will receive the approved entry permit and QR code directly from the government, not Creatrip. If you have not received an email, your K-ETA application and results can also be found on the official K-ETA website with your passport number and date of birth.

K-ETA is processed within 24 hours after the reservation is made, and Q-CODE is applied for two days before the applicant's date of entry.

For K-ETA, the government will send the results via email after 1-3 days depending on the number of applications. For Q-CODE, you will receive the QR code immediately after the proxy application is completed (two days before the entry date).

The Q-CODE application will be completed 2 days before the date of entry, and since no processing or screening is required, you will receive the QR code immediately by email.

You will receive an email with your reservation confirmation once we have submitted your application to the Korean government. After this, you cannot cancel your reservation or get a refund.

You must apply for K-ETA and Q-CODE proxy service at least 3 days before entering Korea.

Those born in or after 2009 will need to provide the passport number of their legal guardian.

We will fill out the application based on the health status you provide at the time of reserving the Q-CODE application service. If you experience a serious health issue or change in your health status information 3 days prior to your date of entry, please be sure to contact support@creatrip.com to request a change in the application information.

Creatrip submits applications to the government using the information provided by the applicants and does not take responsibility for refusal of entry by the Office of Immigration.

If we cannot verify your passport photo or other submitted information, your reservation and payment may be canceled.

If you have not received your application results via email, you may check your results on the official site by entering your passport number and date of birth.

This product includes the official K-ETA application fee of 10,300 KRW (application fee + processing fee).

If you have an existing K-ETA, it will be extended regardless of the current validity period, and the validity period will be extended based on the newly received K-ETA.

How to Apply for K-ETA

Go to the official K-ETA application site, or download the K-ETA app through the Google Play Store/Apple App Store to apply.

The official K-ETA application site/app requires 7 steps of application and 22 sections of information to input. The most tedious pieces of information to input are passport info, expected address of residence in Korea, and point of contact; generally, the address and phone number of the accommodation you will be staying at on the first day in Korea may be input. You must search for the zip code or road name in English for the information to be properly input.

How to Quickly & Easily Apply for K-ETA

Creatrip has launched a fast and easy proxy service for the K-ETA application. You can apply for K-ETA quickly through Creatrip, which has the application available in multiple languages, without having to input so many pieces of information. The passport information, which can be tedious to input, can be submitted with just a photo of your passport instead, and with a link to the accommodation provided by the applicant, Creatrip can enter the address and phone number on behalf of the applicant. Apply through Creatrip for a fast and easy K-ETA application!

5 Benefits of Applying for K-ETA Through Creatrip!

We want Creatrip users to experience a hassle-free, exciting trip to South Korea, so we are providing a special offer of just 13,000 KRW for the K-ETA Proxy Service (price includes the official K-ETA application fee of 10,300 KRW).

1. If you apply through Creatrip, you don't have to worry about language barriers.

2. The Creatrip application process is very brief and requires only 10 sections of information to input. If you apply on the official site or through the app, there are 22 sections of information required, but with Creatrip you only need to input 10! We'll take care of the rest for you.

3. Why is it so convenient? Because Creatrip takes care of the most complicated portion of the application by entering your passport info and expected address of residence/phone number for you! All you need to do is submit a photo of your passport and the link to where you'll be staying.

4. Try comparing our service with other proxy services! There won't be one with a price lower than Creatrip's!

5. Are you concerned that the application won't be properly submitted? Don't worry! Before submitting the official application, Creatrip confirms if the information has been properly and accurately entered!

How does the Creatrip K-ETA Application Service Work?

Once the proxy application has been completed, we will verify if the information has been properly entered for the official K-ETA application. In the case that a section of information is missing, we may contact you separately to request the missing information. Currently, many K-ETA applicants applying directly to the official site have been inputting information incorrectly, resulting in their K-ETA applications being denied without refunds or cancellations. Therefore, we make sure to thoroughly review all the information submitted by the applicant to avoid a denied application.

Once we submit the official K-ETA application with the information received from the applicant, you will receive a confirmation email directly from the Office of Immigration indicating the completion of the application as well as the application confirmation number. You will also be able to check the application process and results by entering your passport number or application number and date of birth.

The Office of Immigration will also send a confirmation email separately with your K-ETA results, so there's no need to worry! After sending your application through our proxy service, it takes about 2 days for the official application to process, and about 3 days for the Office of Immigration to review it for approval.

What is Q-CODE?

"Q-CODE is a system established by the KDCA in order to shorten the time for quarantine inspection and provide the conveniences overseas entrants require upon entry to the Republic of Korea." - Official Q-CODE Site

Basically, since quarantine & PCR testing is no longer required to enter South Korea, visitors are instead required to enter information on their current health condition. This can be done upon arrival on a physical document or done online beforehand using the Q-CODE system, which is much more convenient. Q-CODE will get you through immigration much faster!

Credit: Korean Embassy in Ireland Official Site

Using the Q-CODE system is highly recommended for all tourists entering Korea. This system allows you to digitally upload your health conditions and save an issued QR code before landing in Korea, allowing for a much easier and faster entry. Otherwise, you'll have to fill out a yellow health questionnaire document upon arrival. The Q-CODE process can be completed online within 10 minutes on the official site (or 5 minutes on Creatrip), and with your issued QR code, all you have to do is get it scanned when you arrive. If you are unable to complete the process online before entry to Korea, you will have to manually fill out your information on a physical document after you arrive in Korea.
