Starfield Hanam is the largest department store affiliated with the Shinsegae Group. It is home to a multitude of popular restaurants and shops.
You can find Shinsegae, Emart Traders, Megabox, Aquafield, and Sports Monster!
So let's go see what this gigantic mall has in store for us!
Starfield Hanam opened in September 2016 and has an impressive size of 70 soccer fields.
It's not too far from Seoul and since it's indoors, it's not affected by weather conditions.
It's divided into 3 main areas. Shopping, restaurant & cafe, and entertainment (Aquafield, Megabox, Sports Monster).
It's also the first dog-friendly mall in Korea, so bring your beloved pets!
Our journey today begins on the 4th floor.
4th Floor
The 4th floor is where the entertainment area is. There is Aquafield, a water park/spa, Sports Monster, a sports complex, and Megabox, a movie theater.
Unfortunately, we were unable to enter Aquafield this time. But from the pictures, you can tell that it's a very luxurious place to recharge your body.
It has an outdoor water park, an indoor water park, and a luxurious spa. You can take a swim in the lazy pool, massage pool, infinity pool, or the kid's pool.
It also seems that there is going to be a small aquarium opening soon.
You can bring your friends and family, especially if you have young children, you'll be here all day!

Next time I visit, I wouldn't mind going by myself too. It seems like the perfect place to spend some alone time.
Get active at Sports Monster where you can enjoy various sports such as basketball, trampoline, darts, motorbikes, VR, and more. There are more than 30 different activities!
The entrance fee for 2 hours is 25,000 won for adults and 20,000 won for children. There is an additional charge of 1,000 won for every 10 minutes.
3rd Floor
The 3rd floor is where sports brands such as Nike, Adidas, and New Balance are located.
There are also bookstores and food courts.
There are clothing and toy stores for children. We went there on a weekday so there weren't many people at the mall.
But it seems that most people that come with their families go to the 3rd and 4th floors.
The food court on the third floor is called EATOPIA (잇토피아) and has a variety of Asian and Western cuisine.
Each floor has a different layout according to its theme.
2nd Floor
On the second floor, there are mainly brands such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and ZARA.
Like other department stores, this floor is luxurious and spacious.
We can safely assume that this mall is probably packed with people during the holidays or weekends.
1st Floor
The 1st floor has Electro Mart, H&M, UNIQLO, ALAND, JAJU, and more.
There is also an area called Gourmet Street (고메스트리트) where various restaurants and cafes are located along the terrace outside.
When we arrived on the first floor, there was a temporary exhibition being held.
B1 Floor
On the B1 floor, there are popular local restaurants, cafes, and Emart Traders.
The food court is called Market Locus and you can find delicious foods from different regions of Korea.
B2 Floor
On the B2 floor, you'll find the entrance to Emart Traders.
Emart Traders is a warehouse-style supermarket that sells products in large quantities at low prices.
You can find all types of things that you're looking for!
If you want to buy large quantities of foods, necessities, or even souvenirs, you can find them at any Emart Traders branch.

How To Get There
Walk out of Exit 1 of Hanam Geomdansan Station and turn right.
Walk straight for about 1 minute and you'll see a small pedestrian crossing.
After walking for about 5 minutes, you will see the Starfield building.
You can tell that it's enormous in size from the outside of the building.
That concludes our trip to Starfield Hanam, a mall that has pretty much everything.
