Our Visit To RUACH
On a warm spring day, our Creatrip team visited the beautiful Bukchon village to introduce Ruach to you.
As you walk up the narrow alleyway in Bukchon, you will find Cafe Ruach, a red brick building beautifully decorated with a white interior.
I thought the exterior was pretty, but it was even more beautiful inside the cafe!
I really liked it because of its clean white interior with light-colored wood, which is a very popular interior style in Korea these days.
You can find trendy postcards and photos that are attached to its walls all around the cafe.
Although all the photos had different themes, it was a nice touch to its surrounding decorations and enhanced the cafe's vibe. I was in awe of the owner's decorating skills!
I think this spot specifically was the perfect photo zone, so I had to take a photo here!
I really liked the lighting inside the cafe. The warm-colored light bulbs made the cafe even more beautiful.
The light bulbs hanging from the ceiling were gorgeous and added a nice warm touch to the atmosphere.
Not only that, but there are also many beautiful props and decorations all around the cafe you can admire. It was a space that lifted up my mood just by looking at it.
Besides, the chairs are also so comfortable. I thought it would be a great place to stay with a book or computer for a long period of time.
When you exit out of the building and look to the right, you will find a terrace. Doesn't it look so peaceful?
You can even bring your pet here if you want as it is pet-friendly!
I felt so happy sitting at the end of the terrace and looking around. Looking at the beautiful village of Bukchon spread out around the mountains in the distance made me feel so relaxed!
To officially start our cafe tour, we ordered some food and drinks.
As I introduced earlier, the menu consists of espresso-based coffee, milk-based latte, tea, ade, and dessert.
Most of the cafes in Bukchon are quite expensive, but I thought the prices here were reasonable. On top of that, if you are a Creatrip member, you can also get a 20% discount so you can enjoy it for an even cheaper price!
We ordered a Matcha Latte, Grapefruit Black Tea, and Ice Cream Croffle.
Matcha Latte
4,800 KRW
This is a milk-based matcha latte. You can taste the rich taste of matcha. If a latte is made too sweet, it affects the taste of matcha but this drink was moderately sweet so it was perfect!
Grapefruit Black Tea
4,800 KRW
Grapefruit Black Tea is made with a whole grapefruit. It tasted like they made their own grapefruit juice.
The bitter and sweet taste of grapefruit was paired nicely with black tea. It's a great drink to help you cool off on a hot day.
Ice Cream Croffle
4,800 KRW
Recently, croffles have become a popular dessert in Korea. The ice cream placed on top was about the size of my palm and it was sprinkled with sweet maple syrup!
Ruach's croffle was the most crispy one I've ever had! Some croffles that are sold at cafes are hard to distinguish from just regular waffles, but Ruach's croffles have a croissant texture.
Cut it into small bite-sized pieces with maple syrup and ice cream on top and it becomes the best dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth!
On the second floor, you will find Hello Hanbok, which is affiliated with Creatrip.
How about looking around the Hanbok rental before or after going to the cafe?
Here, you can rent beautiful Hanboks at an affordable price. Creatrip members also get a 10% discount!
How To Get There
You can easily find Cafe Ruach within a 10-minute walk along the alley from Anguk Station exit 1 on Line 3.
