Hanyang University’s summer short-term program is divided into two sessions, Summer Session 1 (June) and Summer Session 2 (August).

Tuition and class times are the same; the main differences are course dates, application deadlines, and dormitory availability. If you want to apply for a dorm, be sure to complete your application during the early bird period!

The main difference between the two sessions is dorm availability. Session 1 does not offer dorms. Only applicants for Session 2 who apply during the early bird period (by May 6) may be eligible for dorm placement on a first-come, first-served basis.

FAQ

Q: How do I apply for dormitory ?
A: During registration, please check the “apply for dormitory” box on the Creatrip online application.
Dormitories are only available for Summer Session 2 (August) early bird applicants and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Rooms are in Student Residence Halls 6 and 7, double rooms, about a 13-minute walk to class. Move-in is on the first day of class, and check-out is the day after the course ends.( Session 1 (June) does not provide dormitories, so you must arrange accommodation yourself. )

Q: How do I receive the Seongsu-dong exclusive coupon?
A: Once you apply for Hanyang University language center through Creatrip and receive an acceptance notice, the coupons will be automatically sent to the app within 3 days, no separate application needed.
Short-term program students receive 2 coupons, regular program students receive 4, and they can be used freely at the Seongsu-dong partner stores listed above. Coupons are issued to the Creatrip account you registered with when applying.

Q: Can the Seongsu-dong exclusive coupon be sent to another account?
A: No. The coupon will only be sent to the Creatrip account used for the application and can only be used by that account.

Q: Can someone who hasn't learned Korean apply for this program?
A: Yes! There is an intro class that starts with consonants and vowels, so even first-time Korean learners can join. No placement test is required; just select the level based on the course plan. If the level doesn’t suit you, you can change it on the first day of class, so no need to worry  

Q: Do I need to apply for a visa for the short-term program?
A: Because this is a 2-week short-term program, the school cannot provide or assist with visa applications.
Most students enter Korea visa-free or with a tourist visa (C-3) and then attend the program. Please note that the school cannot provide additional documents or evidence for visa applications, so confirm your own entry eligibility and regulations before applying.

• If fewer than 4 students register for a level, classes may be combined or adjusted to other levels.
