Korea's cafe culture is huge. Just in Seoul, you'll find a wide range of options from flower cafes to modern industrial ones.

To each their own, we all have preferences when it comes to choosing the next cafe we want to venture out to in this cafe nation.

During my travels to the southern city of Daegu, I found a charming cafe presenting colourful details and artworks.

Mounhowazhang, located in between the commercial district of Dongseong-ro and Gyo-dong in Daegu, was rebuilt from a hotel.

Amidst conspicuous old buildings in the area, you'll spot the cafe's bright graffiti and big love sign.

You'll also find different artistic styles featured on each floor, which make this cafe a must-visit aside from its delicious beverages.

The first step into the cafe, you'll instantly feel that this cafe's got very unique vibes.

You'll be welcomed by sticky notes filling up either side of wall, so much that they feel a bit oppressive.

However, after reading a couple of them, I felt that it would be a meaningful act to post a sticky note as a mark of my travels.

So I wrote two sticky notes. See if you guys can find it on your visit!

You'll also find the counter on this floor, so remember to order your food and drinks before heading upstairs.

On the second floor, you'll see traces of remodelling as well as signature pieces that still stand.

The hotel used to have a sauna, so the tubs and tiles were transformed into seating areas and display shelves, which work as interesting photo spots.

If your hobby is photography, then you'll find yourself spending a lot of time here!

Little but different details throughout the space work nicely as photo studios.

My friend and I ordered triple matcha latte, American coffee and chocolate roll cake.

The chocolate roll cake (₩6,900) was perfect to share between the two of us.

The roll cake consists of many layers and sprinkled with cocoa powder on top, the perfect cake for sweet tooths!

The triple matcha latte (₩6,800) is highly recommended!

The thick creamy milk foam is sprinkled with fragrant matcha powder, which balances out the sweet and bitter flavours overall.

After touring the second floor, we decided to go up to the third.

The third floor has kept its original hotel layout, but each room decorated with a different style.

Each bathroom has also been preserved its original looks, while now working as a very distinctive art zone.

Each room has tables and chairs, so if you're there with a group of friends, one of these rooms could be a great place for catch-up with some privacy.

The rooftop floor may not be as artistically curated, but it's the perfect place to get some fresh air while getting an expansive view of this Daegu neighbourhood.

Plus, it's got unique-looking frog murals.

If you need a little kick of artistic inspiration or just want to explore somewhere out of the ordinary while in Daegu, visit one-of-a-kind cafe!

The preserved sauna room and bathtubs with touches of creative details make Mounhowazhang feel like a 4-storey art museum.
