Oppa Tells YouㅣInsadong
If you're hesitant to go outdoors because of the fine dust or bad weather, how about going to Insadong like Creatrip's Oppa, where there are lots of indoors amusements to enjoy?
With traditional tea houses, traditional restaurants, lots of interactive experiences, and souvenir shops, Insadong is full of attractions that are perfect for foreigners visiting Korea!
Insadong
1. Unhyeongung Palace
There are lots of palaces that are preserved in Seoul. Among those, the closest to Insadong (Anguk Station) is Unhyeongung! It was the filming site of the K-Drama Guardian (도깨비)!
Inside the palace, you can rent Hanbok and early-modern Korean outfits. The rental fee is ₩3,300/20min for Hanbok and ₩5,500/20min for early-modern Korean outfits.
From this year on, filming is not allowed inside the Unhyeongung Palace, so take note.
2. Kyung-in Museum Traditional Tea House
This is a traditional tea house in Insadong with traditional tea and traditional refreshments. It's in a traditional hanok with a well decorated garden.
You can also get your tea to-go, and enjoy it while looking around the art museum.
3. Ssamziegil
Ddongbbang
It's a famous snack in ssamziegil, with fun poop shapes! The pastry contains red bean, while hotteok contains chocolate.
Handmade goods
If you follow the Ssamziegil in circles, you can check out various different stores selling handmade goods. They are mainly individual shops that can only be found here!
Poop Cafe
On the rooftop of Ssamziegil, there's a cafe where you can take a break, with an interesting(?) name. The food is served in a dish shaped like a toilet, and the desserts are shaped like poop. It'd be a fun experience!
4. Anyoung Insadong
Compared to Ssamziegil, which had a more old, traditional vibe, Anyoung Insadong is a more modern, large shopping mall.
You can find quite large brand stores like LINE friends, lalavla, and Monami. There are also lots of neat restaurants.
You can even see the trendy Minions exhibition!
5. Souvenir Shops
On the main street of Insadong, you can easily buy traditional items like fans, bokjori-shaped coin purses, drawings, modified hanbok, pottery and masks.
