Our Visit

There are a lot of people who love caramel and matcha dessert, but I have never met anyone who says, "I know a really good place that does it well." For those who like desserts, we would gladly like to introduce Maman Gateau as the best matcha and caramel desserts ever.

After arriving at the Maman Gateau, we observed closely what the other table guests were eating, we found that caramel rollcakes were almost on every table! Therefore, we decided to order a caramel roll cake (7,000 KRW) without hesitation.

The roll cakes of Maman Gateau was thick with a special caramel sauce. In addition, the roll cake contains homemade cream mixed with caramel and nuts. The soft texture was very impressive.

We visited in the winter, but it was a pretty warm day out. We were trying to decide if we should order a shaved ice as well. While we were trying to decide, we saw that the person in front of us ordering one and thought it to be the universe's way of saying it was okay to order shaved ice and so we decided to do the same.

Caramel Shaved Ice 15,000 KRW

The ice cream of Caramel Shaved Ice (15,000 KRW) was such a luxurious taste that we immediately knew that it was handmade with a lot of attention and care. It was a taste of deep and pleasant sweetness. Inside the Caramel Shaved Ice, the nuts and caramel were mixed with cream-based condensed milk, creating a rich taste.

Even though we don't have a photo of "Caramel Milk Tea" (7,000 KRW) , my friend ordered it to have a sip. My friend gave me a short but strong comment - "The sweetness immediately makes me so recharged." (By the way, Americano was really good, too.) The interior of the store gave a feeling of stability with marble interior. We also wanted to try one of the other desserts at a glance! We would have ordered additional desserts if we were not so full.
