Our Visit
Today I've visited the Noranghansang Samsung Main Branch located near COEX Mall at Gangnam. Just by looking at the exterior, I had the feeling that the interior would be very spacious.
At the entrance, they have freshener sprays, which means you don't have to worry about having the barbecue smell on your clothes!
The interior was very spacious which is suitable for group gatherings as well!
Self-service bars are also available where you can add side dishes, rice and even instant noodles to enjoy together with the meat.
I've ordered beef (600g), kimchi stew and perilla seed soybean noodles. the four different parts of the meat comes out with the beef menu which are chuck flap tail, boneless short rib, flat iron steak, and short ribs. just by looking at the color, the meat seems very good quality!
The variety of side dishes such as kimchi, lettuce wraps, and seasonings are also comes out together. They all compliment well with the meat!
There were also some unique side dishes at Noranghansang Samsung Main Branch that you may not find in other barbecue restaurants easily such as miso paste, tonkatsu sauce, and breadcrumbs!
Beef (600g)
Cooking meat all at once can make it difficult to cut and cook evenly, so we recommend grilling it little by little and eating it right away!
I also grilled some mushrooms and green peppers together with the meat. Meat grilled crispy on both sides makes my mouth water without realizing it!
If you like a juicy flavor like me, I recommend grilling the meat medium rare. Now it's time to try the meat with some side dishes!
First, I tried dipping it in salt, where you can really taste the rich flavor of the beef.
Next is time to try a combination special to Noranghansang which is tonkatsu sauce and breadcrumbs. This was the first time I tried this combination, but the sweet tonkatsu sauce and crispy bread crumbs had a delicious and savory taste!
The combination of salted pollack roe and Cheongyang peppers is also a combination that cannot fail. The salted pollock roe was not too salty and it went well with the meat.
I also enjoyed other side dishes such as pickled vegetables, perilla leaves, green onion kimchi, etc.
Then I started grilling the other parts of the meat. If you try it with Korean soju, the greasiness will disappear and the taste of the food will come alive even more.
Kimchi Stew
When eating meat, kimchi stew is a must-have dish! It also has large pieces of meat in it, so it was full of meaty flavor.
Perilla Seed Soybean Noodles
I've also ordered some perilla seed soybean noodles. The flavor was fragrant and the texture of the noodles was really good, making it suitable as a snack after the meal.
