Campus tour of University of Seoul
Today we are visiting University of Seoul located in Dongdaemun District.
Compared to language schools in other universities, the advantage of University of Seoul's language school is that the tuition fees are relatively cheaper than other schools, and the school is located in Seoul, so it is popular among many foreign students.
But we are sure you must be curious about what the campus of University of Seoul is like before applying to the Language School. Today, let's explore the campus of University of Seoul together with us!
시대탑 at the entrance
시대탑, the tower of University of Seoul.
There are no special fences or gates separating the exterior and interior of University of Seoul campus.
But there is a sculpture called '시대탑' at the main gate, and when you see this 'person' symbol, you will know that University of Seoul starts from here.
The 'ㅅ' of Tower of University of Seoul symbolizes the image of 'people' moving forward, and it also carries the meaning of an 'open university' behind it.
After entering the campus, you can immediately see the logo of the University of Seoul on the right hand side.

Cheonnong Hall 전농관
When you enter from the right side of the main gate and pass the clock tower, the first white building you see is the 전농관 (Cheonnong Hall).
All of the classrooms of the Language School are inside this building!

The classrooms and offices of the Language Academy are located on the third floor of this building.
If there are foreign students who need to complete the admission procedures, please follow the signs to the third floor.

We pass the Cheonnong Hall and then walk a little forward on the left.
동문탑 (Tongmun Tower)
You can see the buliding of University Center Building.
In front of the buildings of the main campus of the university, there is a representative of the municipal university called 'Tongmun Tower', with the symbol animal of University of Seoul, '장산곶매', standing on top.
On the left side of the first floor of the buliding, there is a Woori Bank.
Compared to other university campuses, University of Seoul is relatively flat.
We really envy the students of campus on flat ground. It's so comfortable to walk in the campus.
Those of you who have visited other universities should know that many university campuses are hilly.
However, the biggest characteristic and advantage of the University of Seoul campus is that most of the campus is flat.
The school occupies a very wide area, so the school also has its own alias called 'Seoul Grand Park'.
After walking to this point and seeing the pond, there is a slope on the left side
Go up the slope and climb the stairs on the left hand side, and you will see the Central Library
You can overlook the pond in front of the library staircase.
The pond is quite large, and there is even a bridge in the middle.
We feel that spring or autumn must be especially beautiful here.
Continue climbing up the slope, and you will see the two dormitories behind. They are respectively the International House and the Living Hall.

Student Dormitory 생활관
When we saw the Dormitory, we were already almost at the end of University of Seoul, which is also the back gate of the school.

Students living in the dormitory can consider it as their daily exercise!
Entrance and exit on the first floor of the Student Dormitory (card access required)
음악관 (Music building)
After returning to the library, we walked along the pond in the direction to the right.
You can see a very imposing music hall in appearance. In front of it is an outdoor performance venue with a lawn, which can be said to complement the layout of the music hall.
Another view on the music hall.
The design of the outdoor performance venue is really beautiful.
When the weather gets cooler, it will be great to have a picnic here and listen to the performance together.
After the music hall and outdoor performance venue, walking along the lake, you will come across the Liberal Arts Building(인문회관).
After passing through the Liberal Arts Building, we can see the Student Hall behind it.
On the first and second floors of the Student Hall, there are two student cafeterias. The first floor is a student cafeteria that sells Korean cuisine, while the second floor is primarily Western-style dining at 아느칸.
Main Auditorium(대강당) next to the Student Union
After passing Main auditorium, you can see the Natural Science Building(자연과학관) further ahead. There is also a student cafeteria on the first floor here.
Brich Hall 자작마루
After walking to the right of the Natural Science Building, you will find a building called 'Brich Hall(자작마루)'.
It is a future cultural heritage of Seoul with a long history.
Let us pass by Brich Hall, and then walk a little further to see the magnificent and gorgeous building of Law School.
If you came all the way here, we almost went all around the campus.
Overall, the campus of University of Seoul is very clean and the buildings are easy to find.
Half of the campus is made up of old buildings, and the other half consists of modern buildings. The newly constructed buildings are mostly characterized by a sleek and minimalist design.
Here is the end of our campus tour in University of Seoul.
