雪岳山で出会う3つのハイライト


ポイント 1

新興寺・揺れる岩・蔚山岩 山頂

1日は、雪岳山の麓にある、1,300年以上の歴史を持つ新興寺からスタートします。その後、雪岳山のスカイラインを象徴する花崗岩の峰、蔚山岩へ。道中では、揺れても倒れない大岩として知られる「揺れる岩」を見学し、急なデッキ階段を登って山頂へ到着します。山頂からは東海と山々、そして空が一面に広がる壮大な景色を堪能できます。ガイドが断崖や稜線に残る伝説や歴史もご紹介します。

下山途中に新興寺でひと休み

下山の途中は、新興寺周辺で少し休憩しましょう。寺院の茶屋で無料のお茶をいただいたり、瓦に願い事を書く伝統体験を楽しんだり、「国家遺産訪問者パスポート」に記念スタンプを押すこともできます。


ポイント 3

飛龍滝

昼食後は雰囲気ががらりと変わります。なだらかな森の道を進み、渓谷の奥にたたずむ雪岳山の美しい飛龍滝へ向かいます。途中のつり橋がちょっとした冒険気分をプラス。滝のそばの平らな岩では、山から流れる冷たい水で足をひんやりさせながら休憩できます。
