2025 Royal Ancestral Ritual Music Nighttime Performance at the Jongmyo Shrine

• Eligibility: Foreigners (including foreign citizens and permanent residents / Accompanying Koreans cannot participate)
• Reservation method: Reservation in advance through Creatrip (up to 4 tickets per person)

  • Due to the nature of a nighttime event, participants under 7 years old (born after 2019) cannot attend for safety reasons
  • School-aged children and teenagers (born 2007 - 2018) must be accompanied by one guardian to enter (ticket purchase required per person)

How to Reserve

1. Please fill in the requested information in detail. Your reservation will be confirmed immediately upon completion of payment.

2. At the site reception location (in front of Jongmyo Main Gate), please present your Creatrip reservation details and identification (passport) to verify the reservation holder and accompanying guests.

  • Please note that the event location (Main Hall) is about a 5-minute walk from the on-site registration location.
• On-site registration time: 19:00 ~ 19:50
  • This event will proceed with personal identification at the Reservation Confirmation Desk prepared in front of Jongmyo Main Gate from 60 minutes before the event starts. Please be sure to bring your original passport that matches the reservation name and your Creatrip reservation details.
  • For smooth operation and safety reasons, entry will be restricted after the program has started and ticket refunds will not be available.
  • If you wish to enter Jongmyo (general viewing) before the registration time, you will need to pay a separate entrance fee at the Jongmyo ticket office. However, after the general viewing, you must leave Jongmyo and visit the registration desk at the Main Gate within the registration time.

3. After your reservation is confirmed, please follow the instructions of the on-site staff.

Reservation

• This event is 100% reservation-based, and there will be no onsite sales.
• This event can only be attended on the schedule selected at the time of reservation. Participation on a different schedule than reserved is not allowed.
• If the reserved date and reservation option do not match, it may be canceled without notice. Please select the correct date and option.
• This event is only available for those aged 7 and over (born before 2018). School-aged children and teenagers (born between 2007 and 2018) must be accompanied by one guardian to enter. (Ticket purchase required per person, under 7 not permitted for safety reasons)
• This event is an invitation event for foreigners, and only those with foreign citizenship or permanent residency can purchase tickets. Nationals (without foreign citizenship or permanent residency) cannot participate in the event (even as companions), and if tickets are purchased, they may be canceled after participant information verification. Cancellation notice will be sent to the email address entered at the time of booking.
• Participants (including the reserver and companions) must present proof (physical passport) at the onsite reception, and will be allowed entry after verification by onsite staff. Entry eligibility is not determined by [Creatrip], and [Creatrip] is not responsible if entry is denied.
• A maximum of 4 tickets per person can be reserved. If more than 4 tickets are purchased, the entire reservation may be canceled. Transfers of reserved tickets between acquaintances are also not allowed.
• Please enter the information of the reserver and companions at the time of reservation. If the information of the reserver or companions differs onsite, or if the reservation is made fraudulently, it will be invalid and non-refundable upon detection. (Companions must also be foreign citizens or permanent residents)
• If tickets are purchased with improper methods or for scalping purposes, the reservation may be canceled and usage restricted without prior notice upon detection.

During your visit

• This event allows entry and registration at Jongmyo from 60 minutes before the event starts. (On-site registration time: 19:00 ~ 19:50)
• This event requires verification at the reservation confirmation desk in front of the Jongmyo Main Gate from 60 minutes before the event starts. Please bring your passport (original) and Creatrip reservation details that match the name of the reserver.
• This event provides English subtitles for the performance.
• Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, and there are level differences between seats.
• If you wish to enter Jongmyo before the registration time for general viewing, you need to pay a separate entrance fee at the Jongmyo ticket office. However, after the general viewing ends, you must exit Jongmyo and return to the main gate registration desk within the registration time.
• The event venue (Jeongjeon) is approximately a 5-minute walk from the on-site registration area, so please take note.
• For smooth proceedings and safety reasons, entry is restricted once the program starts and ticket refunds are not available.
• The event time may change due to inclement weather or unavoidable circumstances, and in case of cancellation, a full refund will be provided.
• If there is a rain forecast based on the 11 AM weather report on the event day, the performance may be canceled, and if canceled, a notification email will be sent individually with a full refund. Please ensure you provide the correct email address as it may be difficult to send a notification if the email is written incorrectly.
• Recording and video recording during the performance are prohibited. Unauthorized filming may result in sanctions and deletions.
• We are not responsible for accidents or lost items due to personal negligence.
• Participation with pets is not allowed.
• All areas within the palace are non-smoking zones.
• Food, tripods, flash usage, and other items that may pose safety or facility damage concerns are not allowed in the national heritage protection area.
• The distance between Jongmyo Jeongjeon and the restroom is far, making it difficult to use the restroom during the performance. It is recommended to use the restroom before the performance starts.
• There may be media and broadcast coverage on the event day, and filming may occur without prior notice. Please understand that photos and videos taken during the event may be used for promotion, research, and publications by the National Heritage Promotion Agency.
