Our editor decided to try the 1:1 Personal Branding Analysis, which includes a personal color analysis, body and face shape diagnosis, and styling advice. Before starting, we've received a brief overview of what personal color is and its importance. We were told that personal color can be broadly categorized into seasons, but it's essential to also consider saturation and brightness!

Our editor, who has always considered herself a Winter Cool tone, is curious to find out her true personal color!

First, they check the skin tone using a machine custom-made by PIC Color Branding Center.

They check the skin tone of the bare cheeks on both sides to see if your foundation color matches your skin tone!

It turns out that our editor's skin has a balanced mix of red and yellow tones, and her foundation, which is a neutral base in shade 21, matches these measurements almost perfectly!

The analysis starts with wearing a white scarf and gown for accuracy. The process identifies if you're a cool or warm tone and what the best saturation and brightness are for you. Brightness refers to how light or dark the colors are, while saturation shows how vivid or muted the colors are. Apparently, warm tones suit our editors the best!

They used 188 different fabric swatches for a detailed analysis to find out which colors suit the best. Holding fabrics with a blue tint close to her face made imperfections and dark circles more noticeable, making us realize she is better suited for warm tones with a hint of yellow.

Regarding brightness, our editor found that darker shades suited her better than bright and muted colors.

And for the saturation, our editor noticed that vivid, rainbow-like colors did not complement her face.

They also tested fabrics in muted tones, which can be divided into warm-leaning and cool-leaning muted tones. Upon comparing warm, muted, and cool tone fabrics, it became clear that our editor's complexion looked more vibrant with the definite warm tone!

As a final part of the personal color analysis, they checked the best and worst colors for makeup, hair, and clothes. The difference was striking! The best colors enhanced her appearance, while the worst made her face look pale and sick.

The next was assessing the face and body type, measuring the length and width of the face with specialized tools.

Standing measurements were taken for shoulders, waist, hips, thighs, and calves to precisely determine the body type.

After all the analysis, it turns out that our editor is an Autumn Warm Deep!

The personal color analysis revealed that her best match is "Autumn Warm Deep," featuring low-brightness and yellowish tones. Muted Autumn Warm tones also suit her well, while summer colors darken her complexion, and winter colors are too intense!

Given the Autumn Warm Deep result, a chocolate brown hair color without blue undertones was recommended over bleached or lighter colors. They also suggested rose gold as the most flattering jewelry choice for our editor, and it's better to avoid silver!

For lips and blush, it's best to avoid high-saturation cool bright shades and go for brick red tones instead.

The analysis of our editor's usual makeup products also revealed that she prefers neutral shades over strictly cool or warm tones.

We've also received recommendations for lip, eyeshadow, and blush products suitable for an Autumn Warm Deep.

Testing the best and worst colors, we've noticed that bright, primary-colored lip and shadow products did not blend well with the skin and were visibly standing out.

The body type analysis also revealed that our editor has an oval face and a triangular body shape, suggesting that deep round necklines should be avoided in favor of V-necks and heart-shaped necklines, and also advised against wearing flared skirts.

Finally, they recommended the best colors, and after trying them out, it seemed like these colors really complemented her skin beautifully! She also received a makeup color chart tailored to these colors!

Knowing your personal color can greatly enhance your look. If you're also interested in discovering your personal color and body shape, we highly recommend the PIC Color Branding Center!
