The personal color consultation takes about 1 to 2 hours.
Please keep in mind that only the people that made reservations may enter. Other friends may not accompany you.
For a smooth reservation process, please provide accurate information when booking this service.
For the most accurate analysis, please avoid wearing makeup or contact lenses. If you are wearing makeup, please remove it before the consultation.
We recommend bringing the makeup products you usually use for recommendations after the analysis.
For styling analysis, please wear a top that shows your neckline and avoid shirts with collars. For bottoms, please avoid wearing jeans or leggings.
If you are more than 15 minutes late for your reservation, it may be considered a no-show and a refund will not be provided.

Our Visit
We made a visit ourselves to get our personal color analyzed at Color of You! It is conveniently located just 5 minutes away from Hongik University Station, so it's very easy to get to.
When you enter, please show your reservation confirmation to the staff, and they will guide you to the room where your personal color consultation will take place. Once you are seated, you will be given a pre-survey questionnaire. At this point, the interpreter will be available to provide translation assistance. The questionnaire will include personal information, as well as details that will help with the analysis, such as your favorite colors and the colors of makeup products you often use.
Inside the room, you will find color palettes that are used during the analysis, along with cloth samples representing different color palettes for each personal color type. Additionally, there will be twelve business cards representing each of the personal color types. These are all used during the personal color consultation.
After completing the questionnaire, the consultant provided a brief description of personal color theory. We were surprised to learn that there are not only warm-toned and cool-toned categories, but also three different variations within each category! We thought there it could only be categorized into warm tone and cool tone.
After a brief explanation, the consultant will analyze the questionnaires that each person has filled out based on the provided information. The more detailed the questionnaire, the more helpful it will be for the consultant to provide an accurate analysis. It would be beneficial to prepare ahead of time and think about the shades or colors of the makeup products you generally use.
Then, it was time to proceed with the personal color analysis. To ensure the most accurate analysis, they provided us with a white robe and a head covering. Before wearing the head covering, the teacher conducted the initial analysis based on our eye color and hair color.
My eye color and hair color were both clearly identified as red-brown. After wearing the head covering, the consultant analyzed my skin tone and recommended a makeup shade. I was surprised to hear that the recommended shade was 21, which happened to be the one I usually use!
The personal color analysis consists of three steps. It determines whether you're a cool-toned or warm-toned type. If you're cool-toned, the consultant will then determine whether you fall under Summer Cool or Winter Cool.
Once that is determined, the consultant will further analyze whether you are Light, Mute, or Bright. This process took a little over 30 minutes! The consultant's explanations were clear and it really helped me understand my personal color better. I gained a lot of confidence!
I turned out to be a Mute Summer Cool. It was really interesting because I thought I was warm-toned! Afterward, the teacher helped select the best colors for me, and as seen in the pictures, bright pastel tones suit me the best! Now I know I can shop for clothes within these shades without much hesitation. I personally like black clothes, but the consultant told me that black can actually make me appear a bit dull.
After showing my best colors, the consultant showed me colors that do not suit me as well. When I compared them side by side, I could really see the difference!
My friend turned out to be the opposite. We originally thought that if your skin is bright then you're cool-toned, and if you have a more yellow skin tone then you're warm-toned, but this isn't always true! The personal color analysis not only helped me figure out my own personal colors, but also helped me learn more about color tones in general.
Lastly, the consultant also showed us recommendations for jewelry and makeup. Surprisingly, the consultant mentioned that silver jewelry suits me better than gold or rose gold.
The consultant then showed us actual accessories for us to compare and try on. Even just by looking at the photos, you can clearly see that silver accessories brighten the skin tone, while gold-toned accessories make it look more dull.
Next, the consultant asked me to show the makeup products I currently use, so I showed her the lip products I had in my bag. The consultant recommended me colors that suit me better than the ones I originally had.
Afterwards, the consultant filled out the results forms and explained all the details to us. The results form includes detailed information about your personal colors, suitable hair and makeup colors, and accessory colors based on the consultation. It's important to keep the results form with you, as it contains all the information provided during the session. So even if you forget the details, you can always refer back to it!
Lastly, you can look through the photos of celebrities that have the same personal color as you and recommended makeup products. You can refer to the recommended products when you go shopping and choose the ones that are most suitable for your personal color!

It's helpful to fill out the questionnaire thoroughly during the diagnosis, so it's best to provide as much detail as possible.
After filling out the questionnaire, the consultant read through it carefully one by one. If there are any questions that arise while reading the questionnaire, please feel free to ask the teacher right away.
Next, I'll explain the basic theory. Personal body types are divided into three categories: Straight, Wave, and Natural types.
To identify your type, let's start by sitting down and analyzing your upper body, including your face and hands.
Next, stand in front of a mirror and analyze your entire body, including your upper chest, shoulders, knees, and so on.
Through the analysis, I found out that I have a Wave body type. The Wave body type is characterized by a slender upper body and waist, with a tendency to accumulate fat in the lower body. In simpler terms, it's an overall curvier and more feminine style!
They explained the characteristics of the Wave body type and suggested styles from head to toe that would suit it. The Wave body type is generally characterized by a curvier and more feminine look, with a slimmer upper body and waist, and a tendency for fat to accumulate in the lower body.
For someone with a Wave body type who enjoys hip and trendy styles, they recommended outfits like blouses with front accessories and A-line skirts. It sounds like a great opportunity to try out a new style!
And finally, they recommended clothing that would suit the Wave body type.
