Our visit
Today, we visited the Damppeum Personal Color in Seongsu to figure out my personal color. The Damppum Personal Color in Seongsu is conveniently located within a 5-minute walk from Ttukseom Station.
When you enter the entrance, please change into slippers.
The place is not big, but it is mostly decorated in white tones, so it is clean and pleasant. There are a total of three consulting rooms and the editor got diagnosed in the room at the very right.
The mirror next to the sofa is decorated beautifully with various decorative items and the name of the store written on it. After the personal color diagnosis, it would be nice to take a mirror shot while holding the color board on the left side of the mirror.
Reservation was made and everything was prepared according to the number of people.
On the far right of the table, various lip products are placed, and it seems like they will recommend products with the lipsticks here later!
There is a colorful cloth hanging at the very top inside. It really adds vitality to the room.
And right below the shelf, there are neatly organized cloths to be directly used for personal color diagnosis. I'm looking forward to seeing what results come out!
First, please fill out the questionnaire. In the survey, please write down your areas of interest, favorite colors to wear, colors you dislike, and any specific directions or requests that can help with the diagnosis.
Now, let's take some time to understand it briefly based on the completed survey. The survey will be more helpful to the consultant if you provide detailed information, so it's good to know the brand and color of the cosmetics you usually use!
The theory class lasts for about 5 minutes. If you are coming to receive a personal color for the first time, it is recommended to understand how the colors are divided and what differences there are for each tone, so please make sure to focus.
If you have completed all the theory, they will start the formal diagnosis. To ensure accurate diagnosis, I wore a white gown and a hood. Before putting on a hood, the consultant conduct a preliminary hair color diagnosis. After putting on the hood, she analyzes the skin tone and recommend a cosmetics. The skin tone is also different from warm tone and cool tone, so just listening to it is really fun and amazing.
The consultant diagnose the personal color by color in the order of spring autumn warm light, mute, bright, summer winter cool light, mute, bright. During the assessment, she provides additional explanations of the colors on the hardboard to ensure a more accurate understanding. Thanks to that, I understood it well and was able to easily understand the differences.
Lastly, she showed us the best color and the worst color by first spreading the cloth and folding it one by one.
This is how the best, worst colors came out. The pastel tones were chosen as the best, and bright vivid colors were chosen as the worst. When she showed me the worst color, I really couldn't hide my expression!
The person who went with me had the opposite result. Her worst color was my second best color! Also, I always thought that if the skin is white, it is cool-toned, and if it is yellow, it is warm-toned! Not only did it make me realize my own personal color, but it also helped me learn a lot.
Now it's time for us to get our cosmetics inspected. We brought cosmetics that we use often, knowing in advance that they would be assessed based on the diagnosis results.
First, the consultant checked the color of the cosmetics we were using and gave her opinion. Additionally, based on your personal color, she recommended suitable colors.
The editor received a color & styling premium course, so this is not the end here. I had a chance to personally test the recommended lip products.
We were recommended two types each. After trying the recommended product, my face really looked brighter and more vibrant! If I buy cosmetics next time, I won't have to worry.
She provided additional explanations while writing the diagnosis report. She gave us consultation on what color is best for dyeing our hair, and all aspects of makeup, including eyeshadow, lip type, foundation, base, etc.
Then, she showed me different kinds of accessories, and when I saw the actual accessories in person, the difference was clear. The editor recommended rose gold and silver series. Personally, white gold suited perfectly.
And the final step of the premium course was the personalized body shape diagnosis. Looking in the mirror, they diagnosed my neck length, shoulder width, waist, hips, and even leg length.
The editor came out in an hourglass shape, and it was very informative to recommend which exercises to focus on according to the physique.
Then she wrote down the results of the personal body type on the diagnosis sheet. She told me what style of tops and bottoms suit my body type, what kind of image I have, and how to coordinate my outfits.
It took about a little less than 2 hours. I recommend getting diagnosed at least once in your lifetime because personal color is something that can be used for the rest of your life. There are many personal color consultants in Korea, but there are not many places like Damppeum Personal Color that provide interpretation and give detailed information on how to bring out one's own light.
