Gangneung Seongyojang House
Seongyojang House is where the descendants of Grand Prince Hyoryeong, the older brother of King Sejong, lived. It is designated as a National Folklore Cultural Heritage in 1967. The houses have been preserved in their original structure for over 300 years and have over 300 artifacts displayed. Walk around the village and look at the view of the Baekdu Mountain range and clear your mind.
At Seongyojang House, you can participate in classes like making dasik(15,000 KRW/per person), a traditional Korean dessert(10,000 KRW/per person), making a miniature ship, or rent a hanbok(10,000 KRW/per person).
Gyeongpo Lake & Gasi Lotus Pond Park
Gyeongpo Observatory and Gyeonpo Lake are designated as one of the Eight Views of Korea. The scenic view that can be overlooked at the observatory is one that will forever be burned in your brain, which is why it attracts so many tourists each year!
Between Gyeongpodae and Gyeongpo Lake is Gasi Lotus Pond Park. This park is protected by the Gangwon government and is a significant part of the city's ecological environment. You can choose to join one of the tours in the chart below or explore freely.

Ohjukheon
Sinsaimdang is a scholar that is featured on the 50,000 KRW currency note. Her son, Yulgok Yi I is on the 5,000 KRW currency note. The house that Yulgok Yi I was born in is made of bamboo, as to why it is named the way it is. It has everything from a museum to outdoor exhibits and is the birthplace of important scholars which is why it is now Gangneung's most visited tourist attraction.
Anmok Beach (Cafe Street)
If you think of Gangneung, an image of the beach should pop up in your mind. The beaches are beautiful in Gangneung, especially Anmok Beach, which has the softest sand, and even a cafe street with cafes that look out into the ocean! You will be given free time at the beach so you can explore the beach freely and sit at a cafe to rest and enjoy the view.
Haslla Art World
Haslla Art World is a multi-art space that was opened in 2003 by sculptors Park Sinjeong and Choi Okyeong. It has a clear, undisturbed view of the East Sea and has a museum hotel, outdoor sculpture park, modern art museum, Pinocchio museum, restaurant, and a cafe overlooking the ocean. The theme park is 362K square meters so take a leisurely walk around among the art and nature,
Daegwallyeong
Daegwallyeong is Korea's first-ever natural recreation forest and is full of pine trees where you can be among nature and enjoy the peacefulness of the forest. There are several health programs you can participate in at the Healing Center, Healing forest trail, forest deck road, and more to clear your mind and soul.
