Had the best Hanok stay experience at Cheong Yeon Jae! The hosts, Kelly and her spouse, were extremely helpful, friendly and warm. The environment and rooms are clean and in good condition, offering authentic, traditional setting with modern amenities. It was a real home away from home and I’m glad to have this unique experience in Seoul. Also convenient location with quite a few nice, popular cafes in the vicinity. Thank you again for the great stay and for looking out for me during my (solo) time there!

Cozy authentic Korean residence with modern amenities (in suite bathroom, AC and shower). I recommend keeping the screen door open to the courtyard and writing to the night sounds of the city while in bed. Blissful. Simple and delicious homemade breakfast included.5

Beautiful traditional Korean house, a total pleasure to stay here. Natural materials like timber and rice paper make a relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Comfy and very clean. Delicious breakfast. Great location for Seoul sightseeing, with Bukchon, Insadong, Gyeongbok Palace etc all within strolling distance. I highly recommend Cheongyeon-jae!5

l stayed there with my wife in the begining of the year, and it was our first visit to Korea. This traditional wooden house gave us a confortable time and , above all, the staffs are very kind, friendly, and are close to the guests.That was very impressive to me.4

A great experience! For our family of 4, this is certainly an once-in-a-lifetime experience! One thing we must emphasise is that their mattresses are thicker than usual. This, in fact was one of my worries before the trip! The room is small but cosy. As you can see from our photographs, we have to leave our luggages at the outer room else it will be too cramp in the bedroom.
Email correspondence is prompt! The lady who hosted us and helped us with the check out is friendly (but the lukewarm kind). There is another Chinese lady who was exceptionally helpful. However, she is only around during the day. Watch out for her. She is most willing to help you with any translation. In fact, she helped to write down some common words in Korean for us, eg Supermarket, no beef, etc.
