I had a wonderful stay at Stanford HOTEL Myeongdong. The location is perfect for shopping and sightseeing, as it is connected to the Myeong-dong shopping area and close to many attractions. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well equipped with everything you need. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet is delicious. I would definitely come back to this hotel if I visit Myeong-dong again. An excellent choice in terms or location. It goes directly to the Myeong-dong shopping area, where all the stores and shops are. A few steps away from everywhere - restaurants, underground shopping centers, subway, airport bus stop, convenient stores. Reasonably priced and well appointed rooms. I would return in case I want to shop in Myeong-dong.

Went in early Dec 2023. The location of the hotel is great, a stone's throw away from subway station. Behind it is Myeongdong shopping street. Main entrance is behind Apple store. Lobby on level 9. Service is prompt, staff speaks English. We receive 2 welcome drinks upon check in. We booked a family room for 4 pax. Room is clean and well equipped. Only area that i feel is lacking is the number of power points in the room. Only 2 in the room with built in adapter. So we had to remove the table lamp plug to free up a 2-pin point for use. Room window can be opened by pressing the black button near the casing. 2 lifts can go to level 1. During 'peak' times, it takes a while to get the lift. It is directly opposite Lotte Department Store, hence we have a good view of the xmas lightings from our room. Will definitely go back to this hotel again if we travel to Seoul next time.

Personally, this hotel feels like a business hotel due to the room sizes and price. The location is in myeongdong making this very accessible to affordable shops and food. The night market is worth going to and you can save some money since prices of food in the night market is not that expensive and they have duty free shops.

Rooms (& bathrooms) are clean, decent but small, suitable for tourists who go out all day and come back to the hotel just to sleep. Drinking water (water filter) is available on every level. Coin laundry is available with 3 washers and 3 dryers. Air con is controlled centrally even though the controller is on the wall of each room (Nov 2023). It might get too hot and stuffy when their centrally controlled heater is on. We turned off the air con, opened the window and turned on the air purifier available in the room. Breakfast options are limited, and not the best quality. Location is close to shops, subway stations and food.

This place comes recommended on only 2 things. 1) Location, 2) Clean-enough rooms. Room amenities: Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner are provided along with hand towels and bath towels, Bath robes and hair dryer as standard. Nothing else. Bring ur own toothbrush, toothpaste and shaver please. One thing to note I'm staying on the 10th floor and the water pressure is so poor I had to turn the shower head spray function to the "massage" setting just to get enough water. Secondly, the amount of hot water you get fluctuates so much that in the middle of a bath, your hot water suddenly disappears and ur left with a stinging cold shower, in winter no less. Now I've trained my senses to "dodge" the water spray when the temperature suddenly changes. Good training for future ninja skills in a wet setting... Lastly the photos online and in-person differs. So please lower your expectations. Other than that, the hotel is located in the most accessible place you can find in Myeongdong. Convenient to go to everywhere.
