2,3 level language school experience sharing.
Before the start of the semester, the school will hold an online information session to provide information on purchasing textbooks and important matters for the start of the semester. If you are unable to attend the session, instructions on which classroom to go to will be posted on the school website. The first class of the semester will review the content of the previous level and integrate it to facilitate students' transition to new course content. The course is divided into two parts, A and B. In the second half of level 2, the focus is on indirect quoting in dialogue. The teacher emphasizes communication and interaction with students in class and encourages them to sit in different seats every day to communicate and get to know people from different countries better. Homework assignments will also be given in class for students to practice grammar changes. Before the exam, there will be a review of the first few lessons, and a midterm exam will be given after completing the first half of the course. The teacher will provide questions that are likely to be asked on the exam for students to prepare. After the midterm exam, a one-day cultural experience course will be arranged, usually on the day before a holiday. The content of level 3 is mostly related to daily life, with a slightly deeper difficulty in grammar. After level 3, teachers will first help everyone supplement vocabulary and popular phrases by sharing daily life, increasing the richness of classroom content, and also taking the opportunity to learn supplementary content that is not in the textbook. The school focuses on speaking, with the first 2 hours being grammar explanations and speaking courses, and the last hour being listening and reading, with opportunities to share and express opinions. The final hour is for writing, and the teacher will assist with any questions that may arise. The learning atmosphere is very free, and the overall classroom environment is very joyful. Through the oral communication in the course, students can also learn about the culture of various countries, with a relatively average student ratio. The advantage of the school is its convenient transportation, located near Sinchon Station (新村), Edae Station (梨大), and Daeheung Station (大興), making it easy to go anywhere. The downside is that the food at the school's restaurants is not very tasty, so usually after class, students will go to restaurants in Sinchon or near the school to eat with classmates. During the language school comparison process, some schools may offer cultural experiences and a buddy system. WhileSogang also offers cultural experiences, they are relatively simple and do not have a buddy system. Starting from level 3, students can participate in school clubs, but it's a bit unfortunate that students in level 2 cannot join the clubs yet.The first thing to do during the study abroad process is to find accommodation. Due to the language barrier at the time, I successfully signed a contract with a local Korean real estate agent through the help of a Korean friend. From then on, I had to be particularly careful about all aspects of daily life, even basic activities such as living and eating took a lot of time to adapt compared to my original country. This included sorting out the community's garbage classification and learning how to use household appliances, among other things. When I first arrived in Korea, besides adapting to school life, after class I would go sightseeing with friends and try out delicious food, just like a tourist. This experience was completely different from my student days and it was also the charm of studying abroad. After coming to Korea and making friends from different countries, we would also exchange languages and learn languages other than Korean. Although it was only basic greetings, the process of communication was very interesting and it was a very unforgettable learning experience. After the course ended, I plan to continue self-study and keep in touch with classmates I have met. If I have the chance, I would like to experience the Korean language school course again.

Restaurants and cafes around Konkuk University
The commercial district of Konkuk University is famous, and it is right next to Konkuk University. There is a very lively business district where many barbecue restaurants, delicious restaurants, cafes, and pocha (Korean-style pub) gather. It is always a popular place for young people to gather because there is a lot to eat and enjoy! Then, shall we take a look at popular restaurants and cafes among students at Konkuk University commercial district together?화기애애 건대본점Address: 서울 광진구 아차산로31길 16Opening Hours: 3:00 PM ~ 11:00 PM/ 1:00 PM ~ 11:00 PMWe always wondered what kind of barbecue restaurant it was when we passed by.This time, there was a chance to line up once we finally got in. The environment is very clean and the atmosphere is cozy, and it's a complete charcoal-grilled restaurant. We really like it because there is not much smoke from the stove. The meat was of good quality and tender, so it was delicious! The restaurant can be considered as one with reasonable prices and very high cost-performance. They also offer set menus, so it is often visited for gatherings.Above all, the most important thing is that Kimchi stew and steamed eggs are provided as a basic offering, and they are unlimited!Kimchi jjigae and gyeran jjim won over other meat restaurants just by offering unlimited refills. Not only the unlimited refills, but also the kimchi jjigae is delicious and the gyeran jjim is also very tasty! It's a totally awesome place!!고기굽는놈Address: 서울 광진구 아차산로31길 8 고기굽는놈Opening hours: 15:00 ~ 23:00Then let's move on to the next barbecue restaurant. In Kondae, due to the large number of students, the competition among barbecue restaurants is extremely fierce, and there are really a lot of barbecue restaurants in the commercial area. This place is also very popular and loved by students at Kondae. Here is a two-floor Korean barbecue restaurant, with plenty of seats, making it great for gatherings! The indoor environment is very clean, and when the weather is cool, you can open the windows for ventilation. It is very enjoyable to eat meat while feeling the wind. The most famous thing in this restaurant is the grilled ribs! We have seen many customers around us ordering beef ribs and pork ribs. It's a marinated meat, but it's not too sweet or too salty, and the quality of the meat is also very good!Of course, in addition to galbi, you can also order regular samgyeopsal here, and there is a wide variety of meat options!발빠닭 건대점Address:서울 광진구 동일로24길 98 1층Opening hours: 16:00 to 1:00 (Last Order 00:00)This restaurant is not only delicious but also offers a variety of menu options, including set menus.Chicken feet menu are divided into bone-in and boneless, and you can choose the seasoning or soup. Additionally, there are set menus available that can be ordered with intestines or skin.In addition, various fruit necklaces are available, and you can enjoy them very refreshingly, like chicken feet.We ordered the Dakbal makchang Set.If you find it bothersome to eat chicken feet with bones, you can order boneless chicken feet like us. Without the need to gnaw on bones, you can simply put it in your mouth and enjoy the chewy and delicious taste! The intestines were also incredibly chewy and amazing! Both were extremely delicious. Also, that source in the middle was really delicious. It was able to enhance the spicy flavor while making it even more enjoyable! Here you can order not only chicken feet but also various side dishes. For example, there are dishes like bomb cheese Gyeran-jjim or corn cheese. This corn cheese is very popular among Koreans and is also great to eat with cheese, sweet corn, and chicken feet!청춘등판Address: 서울 광진구 동일로22길 34 1층 청춘등판Opening hours: 12:00 ~ 23:00 (last order 21:30) (regular rest every Monday)청춘등판 is a galbi jjim specialty restaurant, which has appeared on TV and is recommended by celebrities. The main menu is galbi jjim, with original and rose sauce flavors. You can also choose the level of spiciness, ranging from mild/spicy/very spicy, based on the spiciness level of Shin Ramyun and Buldak Bokkeum Myun.First order of at least 2 portions is possible and side dishes are not included as default.* The first order is available for two or more people, and additional orders can be made for one portion of Cheongchun or Myeongpum.Buckwheat pancakes came out first. One buckwheat pancake is provided as a basic service. The thinly wrapped buckwheat pancake was soft and savory, and it was delicious to eat on its own or wrapped with the grilled short ribs.As soon as you put it on the table, you can smell the aroma of pork ribs.Galbi is steamed very tenderly, allowing the meat and bones to be easily separated when cooked to a proper level.Kondre Rice is very delicious when eaten with a sweet and spicy sauce. The store is spacious enough to come for gatherings or company dinners. We would like to try the Rose Galbi Jjim next time!그자체 베이커리Address: 서울 광진구 능동로13길 65 2층Business hours: 12:00 ~ 21:00Now that we've finished introducing the restaurant, shall we go to the cafe in Kondae? The next place to introduce is a cafe called 'Geujacheche Bakery (그자체 베이커리)' located behind the Kondae commercial district, famous for its cakes. This café is located on the second floor, so it may be a little difficult to find the entrance. You can refer to the map to first locate the café's prominent sign.If you go to the right of that building, you can see a narrow and long staircase that leads to the second floor. If you go up the stairs, there is their space. The types of cakes are cream cake and cheese cake.In the case of drinks, you can choose a variety of milk tea in addition to coffee, so even those who can't drink coffee can have a good time. You can do the self-order at the kiosk next to the door. The interior design is really emotional and the main part is a table and chairs made of wood, and a bamboo basket.Every corner is carefully decorated and the sunlight can come in, so the photos come out really well. The order was for a strawberry cream cake and Earl Grey milk tea.The fresh cream was clean and refreshing from the first taste to the aftertaste, and the cake sheet was moist enough to be enjoyed without any beverage. In the beverage section, we ordered Earl Grey Milk Tea, and the fragrance of Earl Grey tea is maintained, making it very smooth and delicious. It was a clean and savory taste that I could eat without getting tired, and I wanted to eat it again and again. If we want to have cream cake again, this cafe will be our first choice!Tuttotonto (투또톤토)Address: 서울 광진구 능동로 125 1층 투또톤토Business hours: 8:00 ~ 22:30Tutotonto is always a busy espresso bar that you pass by.Interior of the cafeWhen we only saw it from the entrance, we thought the cafe was small, but when actually went inside, the interior space is much wider and there are also many seats. When we visited in the afternoon on weekdays, we could see students studying with their laptops.Beverage MenuEspresso by itself, but there are also many types of non-coffee drinks as well as various coffee menus. In addition, there are over 10 types of desserts. There are various breads, sandwiches, scones, cookies, madeleines, tarts, and more. There are so many types that it's difficult to choose. Here is not only a coffee shop but also a perfect dessert shop.We ordered grapefruit pomegranate soda and a Shine Muscat tart today.Grapefruit Pomegranate Soda is very refreshing to drink, and it is very enjoyable to drink when craving a cool beverage with the refreshing taste and sweetness of grapefruit and pomegranate combined. Here, the dessert is not only pretty but also delicious. The bread was baked very crisply, and on top of it, fresh and sweet Shine Muscat grapes and custard cream below perfectly harmonized, making it a delightful dessert to eat. After this visit, we desire to visit Tottontto again. The drinks are delicious, and the desserts are also delicious, so I want to try coffee and different kinds of desserts next time.We would recommend this excellent cafe to those who live near the Konkuk University area or to friends who come to play near the Konkuk University area!We hope this helps those who are curious about restaurants near Konkuk University. See you again next time!*The visit date is October 2023, please make sure to check the opening hours, closing days, and address before your visit.
