Outdoor Hanbok Photo Shoot
Studio KJD is known for having a higher quality and beautiful designed hanboks compared to other hanbok companies, We were excited to see what Hanbok we would wear for today's photo shoot.
Inside Studio KJD, you can immediately see the autographs of celebrities and newspaper articles. It's definitely a famous Hanbok company!
Inside, there are various Hanboks displayed, so you can choose what you want to wear.
Various colors of skirts and tops are shown. There were many light pastel tone colors, and clothes with light colors give a more sophisticated feel.
This day, I decided to wear a Dangui (당의). The Dangui Hanbok is a bit longer and fancier than a traditional Hanbok. The patterns in the Hanbok I wore were more intricate than the commonly seen Hanboks.
After choosing clothes, you should wear underwear and underskirt underneath. It helps make the skirt look more voluminous.
In the dressing room inside, it's time to put on underwear and underskirt. It can be difficult to know what to wear and how to wear it, but don't worry because the staff will explain it to you!
The inner skirt is made like this. When I wear this skirt, the fit looks elegant and it's pretty.
There are instructions for wearing a Hanbok inside. It was helpful to refer to!
Once you're done, you can notify the employee to help with the rest of the clothes. A Hanbok is difficult to wear on your own, so the staff will help you.
When you come out wearing clothes, it's now time to get hair styling. According to the guide, you can decide how to style when you sit down.
There are a total of four styles, and depending on the Hanbok you are wearing, they will recommend a suitable hairstyle for you.
The hair accessories were really diverse. The staff will select accessories that suit your Hanbok and hairstyle, and quickly style your hair.
The hairstyling process was quick because the employees had a lot of experience. They styled my hair neatly and added the accessories to finish it off.
This is the result! The accessories made my head feel a bit heavy, but it looked even more beautiful. I can't wait to see how they turn out in photos!
The skirt fit definitely looked more elegant than the fit of other Hanboks I've tried on. The light pastel tones of the color are really pleasing to the eye!
In addition, you can choose your desired bag or accessory here. Just choose accessories that match the color of the Hanbok you are wearing!
The Norigae (노리개) come in a large variety, Norigaes are accessories that are tied around the waist of the skirt of a Hanbok to make it look even more gorgeous.
If you've chosen everything, now it's time to wear traditional Korean socks called 'deotshin'. Even if you wear socks, you can wear slippers on bare feet.
Choosing and wearing a Hanbok is a long and complex process, but with the help of the staff, I was able to do it quickly and smoothly!
We planned to take friendship concept snapshot photos with a friend today, so he/she wore a different colored hanbok of the same design. We really loved it!
After all the preparations were done, we met the photographer and headed to Gyeongbokgung, which offers free admission if you wear a Hanbok.
While taking photos, you can look at them to see how they are turning out. The quality of color and composition was definitely on a different level a professional was taking the photographs.
According to the photographer's guidance, er moved to various spots and took photos. The photographer knows the best spots to get photos at in Gyeongbokgung, so you can trust and just follow along.
We were able to get lots of good photos because the photographer guided us on what kind of poses to do. I really liked the fact that I could take photos without worrying about poses.
The weather was so nice that I took photos with my phone too. A good quality Hanbok stands out even in photos! The colors are so pretty!
The photos were sent to me by email, with a total of 10 retouched photos. Check them out below!
The background, color scheme, hanbok, and even the pose were all perfect. This combination of premium Hanboks and professional photography has resulted in such an amazing outcome. If you want to experience Korean tradition and have a lifetime photo at Gyeongbokgung Palace, we highly recommend Studio KJD!
Hanok Hanbok Photoshoot
We also visited a Hanok studio called Binbinjae (빈빈배) for an indoor photo shoot. It is operated by Studio KJD, and the interior is beautifully decorated in a traditional Korean style.
Inside, it is shaped like the letter 'D' and there is a small courtyard in the center. The interior is so well decorated that even just taking pictures of the inside makes it look beautiful.
Today, we decided to take photos with a traditional wedding concept and wear Korean traditional wedding attire. I wore an inner skirt here, making the skirt is more voluminous than regular Hanboks.
I put on the blue skirt first. Wearing multiple layers of skirts and jackets, I was excited to see how the final look would turn out.
Then I layered a red skirt over the blue skirt. The fit is important, so as I put on each layer, they would hold the skirt wrinkles and fit from the side.
Then I put on the second jacket. There were so many layers to put on for the traditional Hanbok wedding dress!
Now finally, the dress is complete. The Studio KJD wedding dress is said to be even more realistic and of higher quality as it is made by imitating an authentic Hanbok displayed in a museum.
The sleeves are large and long, so they look really fancy. The combination of layered skirt and top gives an elegant feeling!
Now it's time to style my hair. The staff was really careful and meticulous with the styling!
She tied my hair up and put a ribbon on top. My head definitely feels heavier, but it's a part that you can't miss because it looks prettier and completes the look!
In addition, if you add hair accessories, it will be complete. Surely, the attire for the wedding is so splendid that I think the photos will turn out really well.
My male counterpart also dressed in a traditional Hanbok and prepared his hair for a traditional Korean hat.
Now we're ready for the photo shoot! When entering the photo spot and adjusting my posture, at this time, the staff carefully organized my clothes. It feels like each of these points comes together to create a high-quality photo.
The bride also takes a lot of solo photos. Even when sitting alone, wearing many layers of Hanbok, the Hanbok is still beautifully full. As expected, the Hanbok I wore here stands out!
Additionally, we took photos at various shooting spots inside Binbinjae. Don't worry about posing awkwardly because the photographer will direct you to capture natural poses and expressions!
You can receive the photo via email after retouching. Definitely, the color and atmosphere of the photo taken professionally really appealed to me.
These are the final photos! They were super cute and we really look like a couple! Even if it's not a wedding concept, you can take a Hanok photo shoot with various concepts, so if you want to leave precious memories that can only be left in Korea, I recommend it!
