Our Visit

Have you ever heard of the term 'Dessert Omakase'? Today, we'd like to introduce one of the most famous dessert omakase, Perlen HAUS in Hongdae, where you can taste premium desserts paired with a variety of beverages like coffee, tea, and even whiskey! It's a must-visit place for anyone with a sweet tooth!

The long bar-style tables inside create a sophisticated cocktail bar ambiance.

There are various coffee tools and machines everywhere, which shows their genuine passion for crafting delicious coffee!

Once you're guided to your seat, you'll notice an invitation-like card displayed. We've decided to choose the coffee set, named 'Sweet Invitation,' which sets the tone perfectly! Keep in mind that the menus are periodically updated, so there's always something new to look forward to!

Opening the card, you'll see dessert descriptions with titles like 'Greetings', 'Best Regards', 'Many Thanks' and 'Best Wishes'. The menu set, resembling the structure of writing a letter to a loved one, adds a meaningful touch to the experience!

The 'Greetings' is served in a box, resembling the excitement of receiving a gift. Inside, there's a welcome drink and a small dessert, perfect for an appetizer.

Ginger panna cotta, tangerine cream, and sablé cookies topped with white chocolate create a delightful dessert. Paired with a refreshing welcome drink, it was a perfect combination.

The 'Best Regards' course comes with a warm hand-drip coffee and it's fascinating to see the hand-drip process happening right in front, adding a personal touch to the experience.

We've also learnt that the foam that appears while making hand-drip coffee, known as 'Bloom,' is an indicator of the freshness and quality of the coffee!

At first glance, the dessert resembles burrata cheese drizzled with olive oil. Surprisingly, it is not cheese but rather lime meringue with a delightful crunch.

Filled with tomato, olives, and herb cream, the dessert surprises with its fresh taste. The zesty flavors, paired with warm hand-drip coffee, create a delightful harmony.

The 'Many Thanks', resembles a meal and it is served with it is Perlen's signature Whiskey Dutch Coffee—an alcohol-free coffee with the essence of whiskey.

The dessert features caramelized apples, potato puree, and brown cheese ice cream, gives a meal-like feeling, especially with the presence of the potato puree.

We recommended enjoying the caramelized apples, potato puree, and ice cream together with the crispy cookie layered underneath in one bite!

Concluding with the 'Best Wishes', featuring cake, ice cream, and a cocktail, it adds a celebratory touch. They even offer to write special messages like 'Happy Birthday' on the plate upon request, making it perfect for special occasions!

Indulging in the winter vibes, a delightful strawberry cake with luscious strawberry cream definitely steals the show! Served alongside the chamomile ice cream, it adds a uniquely delicious taste.

The strawberry cake pairs perfectly with a rose cocktail. It's also non-alcoholic, making it suitable for those who don't enjoy or are sensitive to alcohol.
