Traditional Alcohol Museum and Seon Sa won
The Traditional Liquor Museum Seonswon is liquor museum that focuses on traditional liquor, Gayangju. In Sansa Garden, large traditional alcohol vessels are lined up, creating a spectacular sight. The artifacts covered in handprints and related materials also provide an engaging experience. Moreover, after touring the museum, visitors can taste Sangju's local alcoholic beverages. There are experiential programs where you can try making Gayangju, Gwasilju, Sesi-ju, and more. It's a traditional alcohol gallery that also receives positive responses from foreigners.
Herb Island
Herb Island is the largest herb botanical garden registered as a specialized museum with a botanical garden and exhibition hall nationwide. The Herb Plant Museum houses over 250 species of herbs and various plants, allowing visitors to enjoy vibrant and green plants throughout the four seasons. In addition, it is composed of four indoor exhibition halls and an outdoor exhibition area, and each exhibition hall has a central hub and plants, making it a place for people of all ages and genders to enjoy the fun of viewing and use as an ecological experience and healing space.
Pocheon Art Valley
Pocheon Art Valley is the world's only upcycled tourist destination that combines history, ecology, and cultural content within a former stone quarry. In the past, this site was a granite quarry known for its durable and beautiful Pocheon stone, which was used in constructing major national buildings. From the 1960s to the 1990s, granite was quarried here for around 30 years. However, since the 1990s, the production of high-quality granite declined, leading to the abandonment of the quarry. The degraded natural landscape was then environmentally restored, transforming the site into a unique global space where traces of modern industry heritage meet cultural arts and educational spaces. Pocheon Art Valley offers an exceptional setting where history, ecology, cultural arts, and education converge.
