Things to Keep in Mind

The photo editing process will take approximately one week, and the studio will send you total of 5 edited photos and the original files via email.

Our Visit
Today, we visited The Third Mind Studio located in Gangnam. The Third Mind is a specialized wedding photography studio where numerous celebrities visit for profile pictures, advertisements, and fashion photo shoots. When The Third Mind Studio sends a taxi in front of the hotel, you can take that taxi to get to the studio. The entrance is through Gallery Now.
The interior space of Gallery Now reminded me of Harry Potter. After the photo shoot you can take pictures here!
As you pass by, you can enjoy the exhibited artworks in the gallery.
The second floor is the photography studio. After the makeup and hair are done, you can come downstairs to change into different outfits and proceed with the photo shoot.
In the third floor, there is studio workspace and makeup room. This building was constructed 40 years ago by artist Kim Bo Ha, so it carries a retro vibe.
While waiting, you can enjoy the exhibited photographs, and at the very front, there's a display featuring Jun Ji-hyun's pictures. Right next to it are other work of the artist Kim Bo Ha. You can sense his exceptional love for dogs!
At the very inside is the makeup room, and there, a wide variety of cosmetics are neatly arranged. Later on, it will also serve as the space where the editor will receive makeup!
On the right side of the makeup room, you can find the display of Cheongdam30 cosmetics. Cheongdam30 is a brand known for its high-quality cosmetics and is even available at prestigious Japanese department stores, which are extremely difficult to enter.
Before starting the makeup session, they did a quick personal color analysis. Based on the personal color analysis, the makeup will be tailored accordingly. The first photo is a spring warm tone and the second photo is a summer cool tone. The editor's personal color analysis clearly indicates that she has summer cool tone.
Before starting the makeup, the makeup artist applied the Cheongdam30 product, Cheongdam All-in-One Essence, and it was applied in three layers. Even with just this product, the editor's face brightened, and the skin tone looked more even. Using this essence before makeup has the advantage of keeping the makeup intact for several hours without smudging or fading.
Eyebrow grooming was also slightly done, and since everything is prepared, we are ready to move on to the next step of makeup!
Victoria Ahn's makeup technique was indeed unique. After prepping the skin with the essence, she proceeded directly with mascara, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and then worked on the eyebrows. The concept for the editor's makeup was natural and pure, which might be why she kept the eyeshadow minimal and emphasized the eyelashes instead.
As the makeup reached its final stages, the hairstyling began. Since the editor has a round face shape, the hairstylist used a curling iron to create a perm that goes well with her face shape.
While receiving the makeup and hairstyling, both artists kept engaging in lively conversation, and it was so enjoyable. After completing the hair as well, everyone went down together to the second floor.
The editor changed into the first outfit and came out. The artists tidied up the clothes and hair and also made some adjustments to the makeup to complement the new look.
Now, the stage is set for the main event with photographer Kim Bo Ha. After taking a few photos, he immediately captured the angles and expressions that suited the editor best. Before the shoot, Victoria Ahn had advised the editor to put her hands in the pockets when feeling awkward, and this gesture proved to be extremely helpful throughout the entire photo session.
Being able to see the photos immediately on the monitor allows for real-time monitoring. It's true that the equipment used by professionals makes a significant difference!
The editor moved to different locations while wearing the first outfit and took photos from various angles. Then, she changed into the second outfit for the next set of shots.
The second outfit was a white long dress that emphasized femininity. During the photo shoot, the hairstylist occasionally adjusted her hair, which makes you feel like a celebrity.
As the photos were taken from various angles at the same location, everyone gathered around the monitor to review them. At this moment, the photographer showed the best ones.
Now, she moved to the last location for another round of photos with different poses. If the artist feels that a certain pose looks awkward, he personally coaches you to find the right one. The photos taken with the suggested poses look much more natural and graceful.
Now that the photo shoot is complete, the photographer mentioned that he will send you 8 edited photos and original photos via email in about a week. Regarding your travel plans to places like Hongdae or Myeongdong, feel free to let the driver know your destination, but it's limited to Seoul.

It's truly amazing to see the comparison between the completely bare-faced photo and the photo taken after receiving the makeup. Even after 11 hours without any touch-ups, the makeup still looks flawless and intact. When the editor have a chance to visit a duty-free shop in the future, she is going to buy the Cheongdam30 All-in-One Essence. It seems like a must-have product for maintaining long-lasting and beautiful makeup!
