Incheon Open Port (개항장거리)
Incheon Open Port Historical and Cultural Street holds over 130 years of history since the port's opening. Strolling along this peaceful street, you'll find spaces reminiscent of black-and-white photographs. The Open Port Museum, which you'll come across on this tour, is a remodeled former Japanese 1st Bank branch, the only financial institution in Incheon at the time. Chemulpo Club was a social venue for foreigners living near the open port, where they exchanged cultures. At Incheon Open Port Street, you can visit the historical and cultural spaces that hold traces of time and explore the past!
Chinatown (차이나타운)
Chinatown was established in 1883 when Incheon Port opened and was designated as an extraterritorial area of the Qing Dynasty in 1884. It was home to the largest population of Chinese immigrants in Korea. Today's Incheon Chinatown features many Chinese restaurants and exotic streets, making it an excellent date spot. With dozens of Chinese restaurants, bakeries, and cafes, there are plenty of attractions to enjoy, such as the Three Kingdoms Mural Street, Freedom Park, and Fairytale Village.
Songwol-dong Fairytale Village (송월동 동화마을)
Songwol-dong Fairytale Village is a must-visit spot for those who come to Chinatown. It features houses decorated with colorful paintings and sculptures that make you feel like you've stepped into a storybook world. In 2013, a flower road was created to improve the poor living conditions in the area. Old walls and embankments now feature murals based on famous fairy tales, and there are 11 themed alleyways, including Dorothy's Road from The Wizard of Oz, Red Riding Hood Road, and Fairyland Road from Peter Pan. Enjoy rediscovering your inner child and making memories in Fairytale Village!
Wolmi Sea Train (월미도바다열차)
The Wolmi Sea Train is a monorail that circles around Incheon's Wolmido Island, which was selected as one of the "Korea Tourism 100" spots by the Korea Tourism Organization in 2019. The train covers a total distance of 6.1 km at an average speed of 9 km/h, taking about 42 minutes to complete a loop around the island. The track is elevated between 7 and 18 meters above the ground, offering views of Wolmido's landscape, Incheon Inner Harbor, the West Sea, and even Incheon Bridge in the distance.
Wolmido Cruise (월미도 유람선)
On the Wolmido Cruise, you can directly experience the West Sea from the deck. You can also feed seagulls with shrimp snacks, allowing for a unique interaction with the birds!
Yeongjongdo Seaside Railbike (영종도씨사이드 레일바이크)
The Yeongjong Seaside Railbike is the closest leisure spot to Seoul, offering a full coastal view of the West Sea. The rail bike has a four-seat structure, running along a 5.6 km round-trip track following the coastline of Seaside Park. The beautiful coastal view provides a delightful experience, capturing the scenery from Wolmido Island to Incheon Bridge. Various facilities and landscape features, such as a waterfall, are also installed along the rail bike route for added enjoyment!
