Our Visit
The Pinocchio & Da Vinci Italian Village is the only Italian theme park in Korea that works with the Collodi Foundation that works to visualize the fairytale "The Adventures of Pinocchio" by Carlo Collodi. At the same time, this is also a place that honors the works of Leonardo da Vinci, who is a famous painter, engineer, scientist, sculptor and architect.
This place is more than 30,000m2 built right net to Petite France. Although the Pinocchio & Da Vinci Italian Village just opened in 2021, it is very popular and has already appeared on JTBC shows! Since this place is located right next to Petite France, we stopped by this village after visiting Petite France. You can get tickets for both the Pinocchio & Da Vinci Italian Village and Petite France at the same ticket booth.
When you arrive at Petite France, you will see a notice that the area of sale and ticketing has moved to the direction near car park number 1. After walking towards car park number 1, you will see a staircase. Go all the way up these stairs and you will see the ticket office.
When you buy tickets to Petite France and Pinocchio & Da Vinci Italian Village, you will get a discount! At the ticket counter, the left aisle is for Petite France, and the right way is for Pinocchio & Da Vinci Italian Village.
The Pinocchio & Da Vinci Italian Village is a complex of Tuscan- inspired buildings in Italy, and is known for its Renaissance art and architecture. There are vintage galleries, observatory and stages! These are some of the attractions that we feel are worth visiting when you come here!
Giant Pinocchio Statue
Location: Number 2 on the map
This is a statue representing the Italian Village Pinocchio & Da Vinci, the main character of the village. You will be impressed with the giant size of Pinocchio with a height of up to 10.8 meters!
In addition, when you come here, you can look out over Lake Cheongpyeong and see Petite France from above. The small houses with tiled roofs immerse themselves in the beautiful nature of Gapyeong and it is a sight that we will never forget!
Geppetto Alley
Location: Number 4 on the map
Named after the character Geppeto, who created Pinocchio, this alley is very beautiful with lovely yellow and orange buildings. This is one of the best photo spots in the Pinocchio & Da Vinci Italian Village.
There are many shows in Pinocchio & Da Vinci Italian Village. In addition, there are many antique galleries. When entering this street, on the right hand side you will see a map and schedule of shows in Pinocchio & Da Vinci Italian Village. In addition, there are many antique galleries here. Walking along this alley and turning into each room feels like going into an exhibition.
Negozio di Maschere
This is an Italian mask shop with lots of different designs. Of course, the items in this place is only for display, not for sale.
You can get the masks here and try them on. We felt like we were going to attend a hidden mask party!
Antiquariato Milano
This is where you can look at antiques. We felt quite overwhelmed when we first came here due to the giant collection of antiques that were in front of us! M
You can visit and take a look at all of the items, but you should not touch anything!
Piazza Da Vinci
Location: Number 8 on the map
Go all the way to Geppetto Alley and you will come to Piazza Da Vinci, a wide square opening in front of you.
There is also a Pinocchio statue available for you to take pictures with!
Pinocchio's Adventure Hall
Location: 3F, Area A on the map
At Piazza Da Vinci, you should look to left and you will see the Geppetto Gift Shop and a cute staircase. The color combination has made this place a lovely photo corner. Geppetto is the only souvenir shop here, but unfortunately it was not open on the day that I arrived.
Follow the pink directions printed on the road and you will find the entrance to Pinocchio's Adventrure Hall located on the 3rd floor.
Here you will be able to admire the story of Pinocchio while it is reproduced through statues, models, and paintings. It feels like going back to your childhood days! A special feature is that this building also has a seamless structure, so you can go around and enjoy the scenery while visiting.
Pinocchio Observatory
Location: number 7 on the map
In the same building as Pinocchio's adventure Hall on the 4th floor you will find the Pinocchio Observatory. Here you can look out over the green Cheongpyeong Lake with the French Village of Petite France below.
Geppetto Alley can also be seen from above. Do you think that this place looks like an Italian Village?
Da Vinci Exhibition Hall
Location: B1, B2, Area B on the map
At Piazza Da Vinci, follow the blue direction and go down to the B1 and B2 floors and you will come to the Da Vinci Gallery.
It displays many works of Da Vinci's life, in particular, the airplane model, one of his most famous inventions, was also reproduced here.
There are also reproductions of famous paintings by Da Vinci. You can feel the artistic tendencies of this great man.
Outdoor Amphitheater
Location: Number 11 on the map
This is the very grand outdoor stage of Pinocchio e Da Vinci Italian Village. Above the corridor on the 2nd floor is the Terrace of the Wind.
Pinocchio Clock Tower
Location: Number 14 on the map
This is the second observatory in the Pinocchio & Da Vinci Italian Village. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor and you will have to take the stairs to the 4th floor.
Here you can have a panoramic view of this Italian village. The natural scenery and colorful buildings are worth the visit.
Tuscana Traditional House
Location: E, F on the map
This area does not have too much to see, but because there are colorful houses, it is a suitable place to take pictures. If you want to get a bird's-eye view of Tuscana Traditional House and The Village of Venice, head up to the Pinocchio Clock Tower.
In addition to the attractions we mentioned above, the Pinocchio & Da Vinci Italian Village also has many antique galleries, music box collections, paintings, and mini cars that you can explore. If you are an art lover, this place is perfect for you!
