Yes! Today's star is Samgeori Butchers Central City Branch, located just 326m from Express Bus Terminal Exit 3, so getting there is not a hassle at all!

As you can see, the restaurant dining area is very clean and bright, with plenty of space and a warm atmosphere.

Review

Pictured is the thick cut Jeju Charcoal-Grilled Pork (제주 근고기 숯불구이). As you can see, the meat is cut very thick and is super fresh. 

The price is 64,000 won for 600g and the amount of meat is just right for two people. Doesn't it look delicious?

After ordering they will bring out side dishes, which all complement the meat very well, especially the marinated onions!

Thick cut pork from Jeju Island! Everyone can enjoy the chewy and juicy taste after grilling it over charcoal. Just looking at the photo, you can practically smell it.

For the perfectly cooked pork, first grill the pieces whole, so it is golden and crispy, then cut into bite-sized pieces and continue to grill until cooked through. If you are unsure, don't worry, the restaurant staff can assist to be sure your meat is cooked well.

Do you see that little cup of sauce behind the grill? That is the sauce commonly used when eating roast pork on Jeju Island called meljeot (멜젓).

The meat is done, time to start eating!

Garlic is served as a side dish, but it is more delicious if you grill it over load heat. Plus, if you eat meat with garlic, it is good for your health. But you can eat the meat with whatever side dishes you like best, of course.

Aside from the meat, we also recommend the Naengmyeon at Samgeori Butchers, which costs 12,000 won.

The cold buckwheat noodle dish here is made with Hanwoo bone broth that has been stewed over low heat for a long time, so it has a beautiful depth of flavor and is very healthy.

Their drink menu includes Korean soju, house wine, draft beer, and bottled beer, so everyone can enjoy their preferred drink with grilled pork. Alternatively, you can opt for non-alcoholic beverages like Coke or tonic water. 

And if you bring your own wine they will open it for you free of charge!

In one corner of the restaurant, you can see many celebrities' autographs lined up on the wall. Since Samgeori Butchers is owned by YG, most YG artists come here to eat.

However, in early 2020 it was reported that Yang Hyun-suk had sold YG Foods to CEO Noh Hee-young, in order to focus more on the music label.

Nevertheless, if you visit the restaurant, you can still see the many, many traces of celebrities visiting the restaurant themselves.

There is also a cafe called 3Birds run by YG located next to Samgeori Butchers where you can enjoy brunch, coffee, and desserts, as well as steak, pasta, and lasagna.

The inside is very charming, isn't it?

It is recommended to make a reservation in advance since this is a very popular cafe.

Overall, the cafe is quite spacious and comfortable. The space is very open, with a high ceiling that reveals a second floor, and the lemon decor hanging above gives a touch of whimsy to the space.

We recommend the Dark Ganache Cake if you come here. As the name suggests, it's full of rich dark chocolate flavor, and if you want to purchase a whole cake you can, just ask the staff!
