BTS Euljiro Tour
If you're a BTS fan, then you'll have to visit Euljiro!
Their 2021 Season's Greetings photoshoot was taken in the hip alleyways all around the area.
You can follow along with our post and recreate their photos and get some unique and memorable shots in the old streets of Euljiro.
Sewoon Arcade

K-Drama fans might recognize this place as one of the Vincenzo filming locations. It's also been seen in other dramas, like My Name and True Beauty.
If you enjoyed these dramas, you'll definitely want to visit for yourself and check it out! Most stores here sell electronics, appliances, and lights. It's really easy to get to and you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the 9th floor rooftop. (Unfortunately, it's closed off right now due to COVID-19).
There's also a row of cafes and restaurants with outdoor seating, a perfect spot to take a break. Underneath the mall, you can check out the remains of the central government office used during the Joseon Dynasty.

WE LAB74

In this yellow building with unique murals near Sewoon Arcade, you'll find WE LAB74 where you can make your own DIY perfume. Would you like to experience spending an hour making a signature scent?
WE LAB74 has a wide variety of aroma oils used to make perfumes. After choosing your favorite oils, you use a pipette to drop a few drops in a beaker and mix it to create the perfect perfume for you.
I like citrus scents, so I made my own custom perfume with a toned down citrus scent so that I could use it even in winter. A 35 ml bottle of perfume costs 35,000 won and a 50 ml bottle costs 40,000 won, so it is a relatively inexpensive one-day class compared to other stores.
The owner of the store is very kind and quickly helps you if you mixed the wrong oils and created a weird scent, so don't worry!
The class is led by the Korean owner, so there are no foreign language classes in English or other languages, but foreign customers can easily come and enjoy the experience because it doesn't require much verbal communication.

Cheonggyecheon
청계천
Cheonggyecheon is a stream branching off of the Han River.
It is 11 km long and was created as part of an urban renewal project on the site of an old stream. It flows through Euljiro, so you can visit quickly while exploring the area.
During holidays, there will often be special lights in the stream, making it even more romantic. It's a great place to talk a walk both night and day!

Jeon Tae-il Memorial Hall

If you are interested in learning a little more about Korean history, take a visit to the Jeon Tae-il Memorial Hall.
Jeon Tae-il lived from 1948-1970 and is a very important figure in Korean history. He worked as a tailor at the Seoul Peace Market and was also a workers' rights activist after witnessing horrible conditions in the sweatshops.
His final act of protest was committing suicide by burning himself to death. His sacrifice brought attention to the issue and eventually led to the formation of labor unions in Korea. You can learn more about his life and this period of Korean history here.

Woori Dongnae Photo Studio is a very popular chain of studios. They specialize in taking professional photos with great lighting, editing, and there is even a package option for you to get your makeup done there too.
Many foreigners visit, so you will have no problem communicating with the staff. You'll get a physical copy of your photos and can get an electronic copy if you like as well. If you book a session through Creatrip, you can even get a discount!

If you want to improve your Korean during your stay, Green Korean Language School is perfect for you! It's conveniently located by Jonggak Station, which is easily accessible from other parts of Seoul.
