Vincenzo l A List Of Filming Locations For You To Visit
Relive all your favorite moments from Vincenzo as we visit its main filming locations!
Did you watch the drama Vincenzo?
It had been a while since Song Joong-Ki appeared in a drama, so I watched it religiously!
Today, we are going to show you some of the main filming locations for this drama.
Let's start our Vincenzo tour!
SEWOON CHEONGGYE SHOPPING CENTER
세운 청계 상가
The series begins with the main character, Vincenzo, played by Song Joong-Ki, saying, "My goal is to destroy this building."
In the show, this building is called Geumga Plaza.
The actual name of this place is Sewoon Cheonggye Shopping Center, not Geumga Plaza.
Sewoon Cheonggye Shopping Center is one of the electronic shopping malls located on Cheonggye Stream, which is 1.1 km long.
Built in 1968, this shopping center was Korea's first shopping mall that sold electronics.
It is the heart of the electronics industry in Seoul!
In the drama, the sign for this shopping center was altered to read, "Geumga Plaza."
In this behind-the-scenes photo though taken with the actors, you can see the actual sign of this shopping center.
At the entrance of Sewoon Cheonggye Shopping Center, there is a banner that reads, "Filming Location of tvN's Vincenzo."
Do you remember the scene where Vincenzo throws a big party to protect Geumga Plaza from the Babel Group?
The above picture was taken on the 3rd floor of Sewoon Cheonggye Shopping Center.
The small square you see here is where this party took place.
If you're curious about Geumga Plaza, be sure to visit Sewoon Cheonggye Shopping Center.
This shopping center is located in Jongno, which is located in the center of Seoul.
After visiting here, you can take a walk along Cheonggye Stream.

BANK OF KOREA MONEY MUSEUM
한국은행 화폐 박물관
The second place we'd like to show you is the building that was used to shoot the law office firm scenes.
Actually, this building isn't a law firm office; it's the Bank of Korea Money Museum.
Here, you can see various exhibitions related to Korean currency and learn more about its history.
This building was built in 1912, and it is a symbol of modern Korean architecture.
It's located near Myeong-dong next to Shinsegae Department Store's headquarters.
If you visit Myeong-dong, be sure to stop by here!

SHAKE SHACK CHEONGDAM
쉐이크쉑 청담점
Do you remember the scene in episode 9 where Jang Joon-Woo is eating a burger by himself?
Where is this place where Jang Joon-Woo enjoyed eating a burger?
It was Shake Shack at the Cheongdam location!
Shake Shack is an American fast food chain restaurant.
The first location in Korea opened at Gangnam Station, and it was so popular.
This location in Cheongdam, which opened in 2016, was the second branch to open in Korea.
As soon as you walk in, you'll be greeted by Shake Shack employees standing behind a long counter.
This is where you can place your order.
When your order is ready, you can pick it up here.
The Shake Shack at Cheongdam is very spacious and clean.
Due to its bright and urban interior, this place doesn't feel like your average fast food restaurant.
There was a huge screen on one wall that played cool ads and fun promotional videos for Shake Shack.
This is the seat next to the window where Jang Joon-Woo sat down and ate.
I decided to have my meal sitting at this table like Jang Joon-Woo!
ShackBurger
6,900 won
Cola
2,700 won
The ShackBurger is Shake Shack's signature burger.
It's a beef patty that comes with lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese.
I heard that the burgers here were really delicious, so I was looking forward to eating this.
As soon as I took my first bite, I could tell that this burger was different.
The quality of the ingredients was so good.
The patty was juicy and had lots of flavor.
If you like burgers, then I think you'll enjoy Shake Shack.
I could feel the presence of Jang Joon-Woo as a I ate my burger. Haha.

COMMON GROUND AT KONKUK UNIVERSITY
건대 커먼그라운드
This next place called Common Ground is where Vincenzo and Hong Cha-Young talked over sandwiches and coffee in episode 5.
Common Ground, which is located at Konkuk University, was Korea's first container shopping mall.
This space, which is made up of blue shipping containers, is a popular place to visit because it has many shops and restaurants.
Like Vincenzo and Hong Cha-Young, I had a relaxing time here drinking coffee.

SEOUL FOREST UNDERSTAND AVENUE
서울숲 언더스탠드 에비뉴
This next location is where Hong Cha-Young and Jang Joon-Woo ate ice cream together in episode 3 of Vincenzo.
In the background of this scene, you can see the green and light beige container boxes of Understand Avenue.
Understand Avenue is a creative cultural space located right next to Seoul Forest.
The name of this space comes from its intention of helping those who are "under" to be able to "stand" on their own.
Hence the name Understand Avenue.
The goal of this cultural space is to support teenagers, young artists, and people who are socially disadvantaged.
There are 116 containers in this complex, including clothing shops, restaurants, and cafes.
There's even a flea market on the weekends.
If you go up these stairs, this is the exact spot where Hong Cha-Young and Jang Joon-Woo stood!
Like the characters, I took a picture with the blue sky and the cloth banners in the background.
If you are planning to visit Seoul Forest, be sure to stop by Understand Avenue as well.
Understand Avenue is located right in front of Seoul Forest Station, so it's very easy to find.

GUGUDANG
구구당
In episode 5, Vincenzo, Hong Cha-Young, and Jang Joon-Woo visit a restaurant and eat spicy jjamppong.
Here, Vincenzo and Jang Joon-Woo continue to add chili oil to their jjamppong to see who can eat the spicier jjamppong!
This funny scene takes place at Gugudang, a fusion restaurant located near Gangnam Station.
This famous restaurant rose in popularity even before Vincenzo was filmed here.
Gugudang is located between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station, so it's easy to get here.
As soon as you enter the restaurant, you can see where Vincenzo and Jang Joon-Woo sat to recuperate from eating their spicy jjamppong.
This area is actually used as a waiting area.
Because Gugudang is such a popular restaurant, there is always a long wait to get in.
Even though I visited after the lunch rush on a weekday, there was still a bit of a wait.
The interior of the restaurant was inspired by China.
I think this would be a great place to come with friends or on a date because the vibe here was really cool.
I wanted to eat the spicy jjamppong dish that the characters ate, but unfortunately, this item wasn't on the menu.
Instead, I ordered the Hong Kong pasta.
Hong Kong Pasta
16,900 won
This is the signature dish at Gugudang.
Although the menu item was different, the bowl looked the same.
This dish featured pasta, steak, bok choy, and tree ear mushrooms in a thick, creamy sauce.
Doesn't it look delicious?
I was curious as to what this dish would taste like.
This dish tasted a lot like rosé pasta but with a spicy kick!
The flavor combination of the cream sauce and chili oil was delicious.
Why don't you have a spicy food match like Vincenzo and Jang Joon-Woo did at Gugudang?

ADULT GRAND PARK
어른이대공원
In episode 4, this is the place where Hong Cha-Young persuaded Vincenzo to take down the law firm and the Babel Group.
This is Adult Grand Park located near Hongdae.
The name of this bar is a play off of the name of a Seoul amusement park for children, Children's Grand Park.
I felt like I was at an amusement park when I visited here.
Adult Grand Park has a nostalgic feel to it reminding its customers of their childhood days.
The whole restaurant is decorated with old movie posters and signs.
We sat by the window just like Vincenzo and Hong Cha-Young did!
It was nice to see the scenery of Hongdae.
These were the bookcases that were behind Hong Cha-Young in the above scene.
This place was full of retro props.
It was fun to look at them all.
I laughed out loud when I saw the menu in the shape of a board game!
It reminded me of the games that I used to play as a child.
Rosé Chicken
19,500 won
Adult Draft Beer
4,000 won
We ordered their most popular menu items, the Rosé Chicken and an Adult Draft Beer.
Fusion menu items made with rosé sauce are especially popular here in Korea.
The crispiness and saltiness of the fried chicken paired really nicely with the rosé sauce.
There was also some pasta in this dish.
This bottle is so unique, don't you think?
This bottle is the glass bottle that Korea's most famous milk brand, Seoul Milk, used before the 1980s.
I had heard stories from my parents and seen pictures of this bottle, but I had never seen one in person before.
It was so much fun to drink beer from it!
I highly recommend that you visit Adult Grand Park.

GRANDPA FACTORY IN SEONGSU-DONG
성수 할아버지 공장
In episode 4, Vincenzo takes Hong Cha-Young to a cafe.
Vincenzo drinks an espresso while Hong Cha-Young drinks an iced americano.
This scene took place at Grandpa Factory, which is a beautiful cafe located in Seongsu-dong near Seoul Forest.
Grandpa Factory is a huge art gallery cafe.
Even though this place is always packed, there isn’t that much of a wait because there are so many seats available here.
The second floor has various works of art on display.
So, if you want to enjoy a cup of coffee while looking at some art, you can do so on the second floor of this cafe.
The terrace on the roof is also a popular place at Grandpa Factory.
This area is particularly nice on sunny days.
The most popular place at Grandpa Factory though has to be the courtyard where Vincenzo and Hong Cha-Young sat!
I also decided to spend some time here like Vincenzo and Hong Cha-Young did.
The treehouse in the middle of the courtyard and the colorful chairs in the seating area gave this space a whimsical feel.
Shrimp Guacamole Sandwich
17,000 won
Cold Brew Dirty Einspanner
8,000 won
I ordered the shrimp guacamole sandwich and a Cold Brew Dirty Einspanner.
The prices were a little expensive, but I felt that it was worth it to be able to enjoy this space.
The sandwich had guacamole, shrimp, eggs, tomatoes, and greens on top of a thick slice of bread.
It was delicious and filling.
The Cold Brew Dirty Einspanner is the signature drink at Grandpa Factory.
It had the right amount of sweetness.
