Konkuk Univ. Station Hotel | Our Stay At The Classic 500 Pentaz Hotel

If you're visiting Seoul and need a place to stay around the Konkuk University area, then I definitely recommend The Classic 500 Pentaz Hotel! It's a residential style hotel with big, luxurious rooms, so it would be perfect for people traveling with friends or family.

I got the chance to stay here for a night, so let me introduce this hotel to you.

Our Visit

The Classic 500 Pentaz Hotel is conveniently located by Konkuk University Station Exit 5. It is also right next to the Lotte Department Store, so you can hop over for a quick shopping spree.

Just from the lobby, you can feel the fancy vibe of this hotel. The first thing you have to do is check in at the reception desk. When you check in, they ask for a copy of your credit card. If you don't have one, they take a deposit of 100,000 won that will be returned upon check out. It's just to guarantee no damage occurs to the room.

Price

Deluxe Room

I stayed in the Deluxe Room. After checking in, the staff guided me to the elevator closest to my room and explained how to use the key. You touch the key to the pad before pressing your floor in the elevator. Also, rather than the usual hotel key cards, you just push the button on the key to unlock your room door.

When you step in the room, you'll see the slippers they provide.

There's a hallway filled with many shelves which is perfect for storing all of your luggage.

Next, you'll be greeted by a huge room. It's very open and white with modern furniture, so it feels very clean and welcoming.

In the room, you will find a king bed, table, and couch in front of the TV. There's also a huge floor-to-ceiling window so you can enjoy the view of the city.

Doesn't it look relaxing just from the pictures? Just like the description promised, it really does feel like a residential room that's more like a home than a hotel room.

The room was really big and comfortable, so I didn't even mind finishing up some work I had to do in the room. I think it would be a lot of fun to stay here with friends as the layout is really nice and it feels like you've gone somewhere special.

The bed was so comfortable, I slept like a baby. The next morning, I felt like a character in a TV show as I opened the curtains and admired the view while getting ready for work.

Amenities

The amenities provided in the room include 2 complimentary water bottles, toiletries, a hair dryer, and kettle. There's also a refrigerator and safe in the room.

Bathroom

The bathroom is right next to the sink. I was surprised at first because when I walked by, the toilet seat automatically opened. So high-tech!

The shower booth is to the right of the sink, and there's a really nice waterfall shower head.

There are a wide range of facilities at the hotel. There are cafes and restaurants inside the hotel as well as a fitness center, spa, swimming pool, game room, karaoke room, and screen golf. Unfortunately, I couldn't use the pool because it wasn't operating when I visited.

There's also a convenience store on the basement level of this hotel so you can easily grab some snacks after a meal. I bought some chips after meeting some friends for dinner at the Kondae Food Street.

How To Get There

Go out of Konkuk University Station Exit 5 and cross the street right in front of you.

Immediately turn right at the Lotte Department Store.

Then, you will see The Classic 500 Hotel Pentaz on your left.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It's very close to the Kondae Food Street, so you'll have no problem getting to the hottest restaurants and cafes around Konkuk University Station.

Whether you're traveling around Seoul or just looking for a weekend getaway, I think this would be a perfect hotel for you!
