A luxurious moment

Yeouido E-Land Night Cruise (Han River cruise)
text editor image
I took a cruise for the first time on my ninth trip to Korea 🇰🇷
Looking back now, what I think is that this cruise is the most memorable experience.
When it comes to the Han River,
It's a place where both tourists and locals visit a lot, for Han River ramen, walks, cycling, and more.
I feel like a lot more people are walking their dogs these days.
Mostly white dog 🤍
I’ve gone a few times to relax with friends.
So I was already pretty much satisfied with the Han River.
I kinda saw it in reels like I already knew everything, so I didn't really pay much attention.
But I had time, so I decided to try taking a cruise‼️
I have to say, my choice at the time was great, I want to give myself props, haha

You can choose from different types of cruises,
I chose the Moonlight Music Cruise.
I could already imagine how amazing it would be to combine the night view and music, so I laughed
I'll write later about how absolutely blissful the experience was.
The guy who played for us looked like Seventeen’s Woozi, which I personally thought was exciting, haha
(My friend said it doesn't look like me when I showed the photo, but I think it does, haha) Anyway, putting that aside.
When people hear “cruise,” some might think it’s going to be ridiculously expensive.
But like in the picture, it’s only 2,840 yen and also
Used a creatrip coupon to enjoy it for 2,540 yen 🩷
Wow, it's worth every penny, Nitori quality!
Let's get right to it, even though it's pretty late
Booked through creatrip, and the confirmation email includes map directions.
Based on that, I’ll get there by the specified time!
I took it so easy at the nearby shopping center that before I knew it I was almost out of time.
So for everyone going from now on, don’t let yourself be attacked by the mall monsters when shopping, haha
I had so much fun I ended up staying longer than planned.
I recommend arriving at the nearby station early, taking your time shopping, and then leisurely heading to the Han River.
Anyway, I ended up running all the way to the Han River 💨
So, I went there in time for the scheduled departure,
Write your name on a sheet of paper at the ticket counter.
(They said they check the person who made the reservation)
By the way, I went on the cruise alone, and if you have any questions you can just ask a nearby staff member and get them resolved right away, so anyone can go!!
Oh, but there were mostly families and couples, haha
Also, I felt like there were more foreign tourists than Korean people.
The waiting area right before boarding the cruise has a convenience store, restrooms, and seats, so if you arrive early you can pass the time without getting bored.
So many people were eating ramen, I was jealous 🍜
I honestly didn’t have time, so I couldn’t even check out a convenience store, sad
Convenience stores usually close around 8:00 PM, so they were already shut after the cruise. Please keep that in mind.
And with that, it’s time to board 🚢
(By the way, the announcer's voice is super loud, haha, I could barely understand what they were saying)
The third floor is a deck, and you can go in and out freely.
And you can watch from the first and second floors while seated.
I was tired and wanted to relax, so I watched from the first floor, and I was very satisfied.
I used to think cruises were all about watching from the deck, but that's not the case.
(I was young so my thinking was immature, lol)
Sitting back and watching from a chair like that is pure happiness 😀
It was way too luxurious, so no matter which deck you go to, you'll have a great time.
Personally, I think couples are better off watching from the deck, while families should sit in the chairs.
By the way, they point out the restroom a lot, haha
It's at the back of the boat, so don't worry even if it's cold 🚽
Also, one of those typical Korea things that I noticed was,
Can you freely eat on board? 🍙
Strong-smelling foods are a no-go,
Drinks and snacks are okay 🍪
For some reason a lot of people were eating from giant bags of potato chips or popcorn, lol
For some reason I still don’t really know.
Anyway, changing the subject, here's the route.
You can go around so that it takes about 30 minutes each way.
So whether you go or return, you can always be sure to enjoy a spectacular view through the window👀
By the way, a personal recommendation is,
I recommend sitting by the window on the left side when you go on board / inside the boat 😊 (just my personal opinion though lol)
This is because if you sit on the left side, you can see the best views on the return trip. The music starts just before the return, so you can fully enjoy the scenery and the music 🎤
You're free to take photos or videos, so I recorded it, haha. The song by the person who appeared was just so beautiful 😍
They were playing songs from The Disney Princes.
I can't write the song title because I'm not sure, haha
You can keep reliving the memories even after you return home♪♪♪
By the way, changing the subject a bit, back when I was a student I was really into Korean idols and I used to go to HYBE with my friends.
(This is the 🐰🦊🐻🐿️🐧 group so if you're curious I'd be happy if you checked it out MOA)
Also, you can probably see the HYBE building while on the cruise 🏙️ I got excited just thinking about it!
I checked the map, so the direction should be right 🤭

So I started wondering which idol might be in that building now, and kept thinking about it halfway through, haha
I think it's really fun to imagine which direction places you've been to or your favorite spots are. Also, it goes by so fast 😊
And just like that, the one-hour cruise comes to an end.
You will return to the place where you departed.
So people were getting off here and there, but considering the number of people, it wasn't very crowded, so it went pretty smoothly.
When I go to idol concerts they announce a staggered exit, which I’m sure many of you have experienced. That waiting time is pretty painful, lol
It was really smooth, and well, it wasn’t a live show. You might think that’s obvious, but that kind of comfort is actually pretty important when you’re traveling.
Before I knew it, the cruise time was over in an instant 🚢
By the way, I went in February, so
illuminations are set up so you can enjoy them even after getting off 🩷
Well, by February the streets aren’t decked out with Christmas-style illuminations, so it’s kind of refreshing to be able to see light-ups on the Han River.
It’s cold, but let’s tough it out 🤭
Now that the cruise is over, the best part of travel is having free time to enjoy.
I wandered around at a relaxed pace looking for dinner and my favorite lip balm 🚶
As expected, there are always a lot of people strolling along the Han River, anytime 😍
I'm the kind of person who would walk all the way around the Yamanote Line, so this culture, or rather this custom, really appeals to me🩷
By the way, there were some boys riding bicycles who were having a speed contest, which was funny, haha
Don't get hurt 🩹
Maybe it’s because I’m getting older, even though I’m still in my twenties, seeing students having a blast is super heartwarming ☺️
Next time I go to Korea, I might just hang out by the Han River.
Rice was my reliable Sadak Kimbap 🩷
You can taste many representative Korean dishes.
Sadak Kimbap comes with soup and pickled radish that are just too delicious 😋 (all-you-can-take!!!)
Also, you can basically eat for about ¥1,000.
Isn't that the charm point these days?
And just like that, the day was over before I knew it.
It was a bit bittersweet, but it turned into a day I'll always remember.
Please give it a try yourself, too 😊
