This time, a hugely popular gourmet spot in Korea, Dongdaemun
Let me introduce Jinokhwa Halmae Dakhanmari.
One must-try food when traveling to Korea is dakhanmari (whole-chicken stew), and among them the especially famous spot that always has lines is Jinokhwa Halmae Dakhanmari ◝(⑅•ᴗ•⑅)◜..°♡
The restaurant is on Dakhanmari Street (Dongdaemun) and is loved by locals and tourists alike. The interior has a traditional vibe, and one of its charms is the lively, distinctly Korean atmosphere 🇰🇷💗
dakhanmari (whole-chicken stew) is a simple dish where a whole chicken is boldly simmered in a large pot, but the soup at Jinokhwa Halmae Dakhanmari is absolutely outstanding. The chicken’s savory flavor is fully infused into the broth, it’s light yet rich, and it’s the kind of taste you want to sip again and again 🍽´-
The potatoes and tteok (Korean rice cake) that come in the pot soak up the broth and are really tasty, the chicken is tender and falls apart easily, and it’s easy to eat. The style of eating while cut with scissors is also a fun, authentic Korean touch ☝🏻 ̖́-
Also, another charm of this restaurant is the sauce (dipping sauce). You can mix the soy sauce, vinegar, mustard, chili, and other condiments shown at the bottom right to your liking, then dip the chicken in the sauce to instantly enhance the flavor. It’s fun to find your own unique taste, so you can enjoy it without getting tired until the very end ⊂(★w★ )⊃
And for the finish, I recommend adding kalguksu (Korean knife-cut noodles). The noodles simmered in a broth full of rich flavor are exceptional, you’ll want to eat them even when you’re already full ŧ‹'ŧ‹'( 'ч' )ŧ‹'ŧ‹'

Because it's a popular restaurant, you may have to queue / line up at certain times, but it's still a must-visit spot that's worth it. If you want to taste authentic dakhanmari (whole-chicken stew) in Seoul, Korea, this is a place I truly recommend ^-^♡
