It was really cold anyway ⛄️
First, on day one we arrived at the airport in the evening, so we started with dinner ^_^ We had samgyeopsal~
⚠️ When riding trains in Seoul, you will almost always need cash, so be sure to prepare some in advance!
You can purchase a transportation IC card at convenience stores and the like using a credit card, but you need cash to charge the card!!

I also ate the famous Korean biyotte (yogurt)! The one in the blue package is the standard kind, but I prefer the strawberry flavor, so I chose that one!
On the second day, you'll spend the whole day sightseeing!
First, I had the experience of wearing a hanbok at Gyeongbokgung♩
I had booked the restaurant in advance using creatrip! The place I reserved was close to the station, and the staff were friendly — a great spot.
I had a reservation for 9 a.m., so there were still plenty of styles left, which was great! December in Seoul was very cold and there was a lot of snow. I was wearing black Heattech, but I didn’t like how it showed through when wearing the hanbok, so I took it off and was very cold...! Everyone, please bring a white undershirt! As for the lower body, it’s completely covered, so it was fine to wear the casual clothes I had on underneath.
I had booked the 4-hour course, but I couldn't handle the cold and returned it after about 2 hours…!

After that, I enjoyed shopping in Myeong-dong✨
There were a lot of people and shops so it was pretty hectic, but I managed to get a lot of great stuff~~
Not just in Myeongdong, but when buying things at street stalls you’ll need cash, so be sure to have some on hand!
I exchanged 10,000 yen for won in Japan, and between lending some to friends and using it myself, it was just about the right amount to use up!
At night I went to a jjimjilbang called SPAREX in Dongdaemun — it was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it! I didn’t have much time so I could only stay a little while, but it was still plenty of fun!
I think, system-wise, it's almost the same as a Japanese sento! Since shampoos and the like aren't provided, you need to bring them, but they lend you two face towels, so I could barely manage without my own!
The hair dryer is 200 won for 3 minutes (cash only, there is a change machine), and because my hair is quite long I used it for 9 minutes!
The sauna was included at no extra charge! For an additional fee it looked like you could also try massages and other services! It was spacious and very easy to use!
We're open 24 hours, so it's okay if you're out late at night! 🙆‍♀️
Day 3 is the return home 🛩
I went to a café in the morning and did some shopping, then went to Lotte Mart and picked up lots of snacks and groceries~
Buying snacks is still cheapest at Lotte Mart, and they have the best selection, so I recommend going there 😺
The lockers and luggage storage area right next to the entrance are free if you make a purchase, or free for a short time, so you can feel secure even if you have a suitcase 😮‍💨

There are so many samples that I end up buying things without meaning to…! This is a ramen sample 🌟
From there I headed to the airport and flew back to Japan~
Incheon Airport is very large, so I thought it’s better to allow plenty of time to get around!

Ate Korean food until the very end 🍽
I totally underestimated how cold Seoul is in December, so next time I want to bundle up properly 🔥
