Legoland Korea Resort, situated on Jungdo Island in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do, was inaugurated on May 5, 2022, as the world's 10th Legoland and Korea's first global theme park. As it approaches its third anniversary, Legoland remains committed to its philosophy as a children's theme park, focusing on providing a unique environment for kids aged 2-12 and their families. Despite facing challenges like low visitor numbers due to accessibility issues, the park continues to develop, investing 100 billion KRW (approximately 75 million USD) over the next five years to expand nighttime openings, water attractions, and indoor facilities like Bricktopia. The park also promotes inclusivity with facilities accessible to children with disabilities and plans to enhance its food offerings with items like the Brick Beef Burger, a signature dish in the shape of Lego bricks. Legoland will host the Lego Festival, a global event in partnership with World Play Day, marking its first occurrence in Asia. The resilience in maintaining its course highlights the park's dedication to its mission while exploring its untapped potential.
