High1 Resort, operated by Kangwon Land, announced an extension of their ski season due to unusual heavy snowfall. Previously set to close on March 23, the ski facilities will remain open until March 30. During the extension period, the resort will open one beginner and one advanced slope each day from 9 AM to 4 PM. Tickets will be available at discounted rates, with midweek lift passes priced at 10,000 KRW (approximately $9 USD) and weekend tickets at half the usual price. Equipment rental and access to the Untangodo Cable Car will also cost 10,000 KRW. This extension is a gesture of appreciation for the continued interest and support from customers, according to Hong Sung-wook, Kangwon Land’s Leisure Sales Director.
