Jeju Island Independent Travel | Xiacai Beach + Rest Note Cafe

Jelly-blue sea you’ll fall for at first sight, paired with a café that makes you not want to leave

This Jeju Island trip originally only had a casual one-day plan for the West Coast (West Route),
But unexpectedly, the place that surprised me the most was here 👉 Xiacai Beach
I'm not exaggerating, the first time I saw the sea I was completely stunned.

🌊 Xiacai Beach | This color is seriously unreal
The moment I reached the beach, only one thought was left in my head: 'Is this really Korea??'
The seawater has an amazing gradient, from clear to light blue to teal and all the way to deep blue, so clean it looks like glass, you can even see the seabed.
Also, the sand here is fine and white, it feels really nice to walk on, and it doesn't prick your feet at all.

It happened to be low tide that day, the water became very shallow, you can walk all the way out toward the middle of the sea, and the photos look amazing 📸
You can even see a small island in the distance 👉 Feiyang Island
The whole scene really looks like wallpaper level, any casual shot looks postcard-worthy.
📸 You seriously won't be able to stop taking photos here
Xiacai Beach has this magical quality: it looks great in every photo.
Whether you're standing on the shore to photograph the sea, stepping into the water to capture reflections, or framing wide shots with sky and distant scenery, it's almost fail-proof
If the weather's nice and the sun's out, that blue will look unreal

☕ A surprisingly found hidden gem café
After walking along the beach for a while, we decided to find a place to rest,
Ended up walking into this 👉 Rest Note Cafe
I didn't expect much at first, but the moment I stepped in I was blown away.
🌊 A whole wall of windows, bringing the sea right inside
The most amazing thing about this cafe is that the entire floor-to-ceiling window faces Xiacai Beach.

You sit inside, with that unreal, deep-blue sea right in front of you,
And there’s air conditioning too, which is a lifesaver in the summer 🤣.
📸 Great for photos indoors, too
The interior is a very clean Korean-style design, and paired with the ocean view outside, any photo you take looks great.
My favorite spot is by the window, holding a cup of coffee with the whole sea as the backdrop, it looks great without any editing ✨
(But during peak times you really need to grab a spot)

☕ Quick thoughts on the food
The coffee and desserts here are pretty good, but to be honest 👉 the real highlight isn’t the food, it’s the view
It's more like a 'cafe that exists for this sea.'
It's a good idea to order a drink, sit and zone out for a while, and enjoy that very slow travel pace.
🚗 How should you plan your itinerary so it's just right?
I personally highly recommend this kind of plan 👇
First stop 👉 Xiacai Beach for a walk and photos
Then go rest at Rest Note Cafe
Plan on about 2–3 hours in total, not too rushed, you can take your time and enjoy it
✨ Sincerely recommended rating: ★★★★★
Xiacai Beach really changed my view: I had no idea Korea's beaches could be this beautiful.

And the nearby Rest Note Cafe takes the whole experience at this spot to the next level.
If you visit Jeju Island West Coast (West Route), I would without hesitation add this to the 'must-visit' list.
