The Saturday before the study-abroad exam — this is how I’ll spend it!

This Saturday before the exam,
I was thinking I should really review it!
But since the short-term study abroad is very brief,
There are so many things I want to try, learn, and do,
Worried I won't be able to fit all the fun into every holiday 🙂
Today I went out for the traditional accessory workshop at Danha, and I signed up for the 'K-style makeup pouch + charm workshop', they also offer a 'Fabric pouch workshop'!

If you're interested, search for Danha on Creatrip, you'll find all of their bookable offerings! In addition to K-pop Hanbok rentals, they also offer a Hanbok rental + professional makeup package 🙂
🇰🇷 Many K-pop stars have actually worn the Hanbok designs from this studio, and I also did a photoshoot there on the photographer's recommendation, I'll share that with everyone later.

📍Address: 39-7 Palpan-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul
🚇Transportation: You can exit Seoul Station Line 3 at Gyeongbokgung Station (경복궁역) Exit 4 and walk 23 minutes,
Or you can get there by exiting Anguk Station (Line 3) at Exit 1 and walking about 18 minutes.
🌻💐🌺🌷🪻
Back to today's itinerary, not counting travel time, including eating and drinking it's about five hours total, I feel like I'll need to save the workshop details for the next post
I got off at Gyeongbokgung Station, which was also my first time at this stop, and the station has a nostalgic, historic vibe.

Then I took Exit 5, and after coming out I saw quite a few people wearing Hanbok, it felt like I was instantly transported back in time.

Then I walked along Hyoja-ro
text editor image
On one side, green leaves 🍃 and a scenic stone wall
text editor image
On the other side, there are artsy, hip coffee shops,
text editor image
Even though it’s a main road, the air isn’t bad, and I saw quite a few people exercising.

As I kept walking I realized I hadn’t eaten breakfast or lunch yet,
We just stepped into one of the cafés,
It's a shame time was a bit tight,
Otherwise it's really the kind of place where you can sit an entire afternoon with a pot of tea and a pastry, just enjoying the view.

Then if you keep walking, you can pass by Cheongwadae (Blue House) along the way,
But because of time constraints I could only walk along the way and enjoy the scenery.
The scenery was really beautiful, so as I said before,
Even in Seoul Station, if you miss the expected cherry blossom season,
You also don't have to worry about not having nice scenery to see.

In the cool breeze it felt like we hadn't walked long before we arrived,
Danha is located not only near Gyeongbokgung,
It's also close to the main street of Samcheongdong,
It's also not far from the must-visit Bukchon Hanok Village,
You can first rent a Hanbok,
Go take more photos😉

Danha is tucked into a quiet side alley, and the shop inside is very peaceful,
To the right of the main entrance and floor-to-ceiling windows is an entire wall of tableware,
Also on display are the Hanbok available for rent and a full-length mirror.

(Workshop schedule to be continued later)
After finishing the workshop course,
I walked again toward Gyeongbokgung,
Passing by MLB (Bukchon store) along the way
text editor image
This brand is familiar to everyone, right,
But the Bukchon shop is special because it’s the only store in all of Korea where you can buy a hat 🧢 and get free embroidery (custom name embroidery) of Korean text
text editor image
So I also took a hat with me,
text editor image
The store’s clothes, shoes, and handbags actually look great,

But due to time constraints I didn’t look around closely or try anything on.
Because they offer embroidery (custom name embroidery), and it was a Saturday,
There were quite a few people shopping,
After filling in the colors, text, and placement you want embroidered,
The staff said we'd have to wait about 30 minutes 🫣

So during this time,
I went out for pasta and shopping again 😌
