Korean-style hair salon 💇♀️ first experience

These days more and more people who come to Korea 🇰🇷 make a point of scheduling a Korean hair styling experience. Lots of my friends come back from Korea with amazing new haircuts, and every time I see them it makes me want to try it myself even more 🤩
But for someone who usually sticks with the same stylist and doesn’t really style their hair themselves, it actually takes a bit of courage to switch stylists while abroad 😆
But this time curiosity finally won over hesitation💪🏻 Before leaving I did a lot of research on Creatrip, and I ended up finding a salon very close to the hotel with a hairstyle vibe I liked, so I decided to summon the courage and make a reservation to try it out♥️
This time I chose the shop #CCONTE Yeonnam Main Branch

Before leaving I actually hesitated for a long time about whether to also get a perm or hair coloring, because this salon's colors are seriously gorgeous 😍 but my schedule was packed this trip, so I decided to book a haircut first, I'll try a full transformation next time 🥲
That day I took advantage of my friend still sleeping, went out alone, and used the time to complete my first-time Korean hair styling experience 🥳
As soon as I stepped into the salon, the overall atmosphere felt very cozy, so even coming alone I didn't feel nervous or uncomfortable. After I told the front desk my reservation name and confirmed the details, the salon assistant first took me to a locker to put my bag, then arranged the shampoo.
Before the shampoo, the salon assistant asked what kind of hairstyle I wanted or what my needs were. My request was actually very simple 😆 not too short, no short bangs, and easy to style. Also, because I had a cosmetic procedure the day before and had filler in my forehead, I was especially worried it would be pressed during the shampoo, so I told the salon assistant in advance to be gentle around the forehead area.
The salon assistant was very gentle and careful throughout the entire shampoo process, even remembering to avoid my forehead the whole time, which completely relaxed me from my initial nervousness, it felt so comfortable I almost fell asleep ♥️
After washing my hair, the stylist came over to discuss the style direction with me, and the salon assistant helped communicate my requests. After the stylist made suggestions, they also showed photos to confirm the look, and once we agreed on the direction, the haircut began.
During the process the stylist’s technique was very careful, which made me feel at ease. He also noticed my hair was on the dry side and asked if I wanted a treatment. After confirming it would only take about an extra half hour and I still had time, I of course added the five-step hair treatment right away to rescue my damaged hair 🤩

This first-time Korean hair styling experience was a great success🌹 Even after returning home my hair is still easy to manage, I’m really very satisfied👏
Although the salon didn’t have a Chinese translator, that wasn’t a problem at all, I used GPT to communicate smoothly, and during the haircut I even chatted with the salon assistant using GPT, which turned out to be really fun😆
The stylist and salon assistant were both very gentle and attentive, they not only understood my needs but also have great taste, the whole process felt very reassuring, and the stylist's perfume smelled so nice, I even asked what perfume they had sprayed at the end 🤭
I truly recommend my stylist E.kyeong to everyone!
If you're visiting Korea and want to try Korean hair styling, I highly recommend booking in advance through Creatrip, it’s more relaxing to have your appointment planned ahead, and VIPs can enjoy discounts, saving money is like earning money 🥳
Next time I come to Korea, I've already decided to book another hair coloring or perm experience! If you're interested, you can save this salon and try it when you visit Korea ✨
