After LASIK: a postscript

I had been following information about LASIK for a while, and in September I had the chance to attend an informational session in Taipei. After the session I immediately scheduled the surgery for November. When I checked in on the appointment day, the Creatrip interpreter was already at the clinic — a very friendly Taiwanese 🇹🇼 girl — and the interpreter stayed with me the entire time, providing one-on-one translation so there was no need to worry if I didn’t understand something. The clinic staff were all very kind and friendly, and every step was clearly explained and guided, so the overall experience was very good. The procedure itself was quick and simple; they even gave me a doll to hold if I was nervous and offered encouragement from the side. Within the first hour after the surgery I felt a sore, overused sensation in my eyes, which improved after about 1–2 hours, and my vision was quite clear after about 5–6 hours. I’m very satisfied with the price, the service, and the results 😀
Detailed Postscript
Mingmu Eye Clinic is actually pretty easy to find — it’s in the building at Exit 8 of Xinlunxian Station (there’s an escalator). After you go in, take the elevator on the left to the 15th floor, then check in at the examination area.
Although it's called a clinic, the space is super huge!!!

When I checked in, the staff recognized me as someone who had attended the Taipei briefing :) The Creatrip translator was already there to assist; I had to fill out some basic information first, then go through many different checks. The translator accompanied me the whole time, one-on-one, which was very reassuring — the Taiwanese staff were extremely kind and friendly!!!! Each check was actually carried out very quickly and smoothly, with no waiting, but because there are so many items to be checked, it still takes some time. I recommend not scheduling other plans afterward to be on the safe side!
After all the examinations were completed, I chose to have SMILE Pro. The procedure was very quick and I didn’t feel much discomfort. A translator stayed with you during the surgery! It was really great 👍. They can also help call a car after the procedure if needed, which is very thoughtful. (Because I went by myself, they didn’t end up needing to call a car 🚗 for me, but I’m still very grateful)

In the first hour after the surgery, the eyes feel a bit tired from use and slightly teary, but there's no pain—just very blurry (after enlarging my phone's font to the maximum, I could still use LINE). After about 1–2 hours I could feel my vision gradually getting better and clearer. During this time I kept using artificial tears and eye drops, and after about 5–6 hours my vision was very clear, just like having no nearsightedness at all!

I had my surgery at about 4:30 PM, and at the follow-up check at 10 AM the next day my vision was already 20/20~
Overall very satisfied. Both the staff inside the eye clinic and the Creatrip staff were very friendly and kind. The service attitude was excellent 👍 I am very happy with my translator friend — a super nice and easy-to-talk-to 🇹🇼 girl.
Also, booking through Creatrip came with lots of freebies like artificial tears, a warm eye mask, sunglasses, and more—laser eye surgery for nearsightedness in Korea is really much cheaper than in Taiwan. Highly recommend going to Korea 🇰🇷 for LASIK!!
