濟州傳統美食節與WACS競賽將同時舉行Creatrip Team

一場國際烹飪競賽 featuring Jeju's traditional dishes such as 'Suwe' (a kind of Korean sausage), Dombae Pork, and Jari Mulhoe will take place from October 31 for three days. This event, the Jeju Traditional Food Evaluation Forum, recognized as an international event last year by the government, is the only culinary competition held on the island. This year, it will coincide with the World Association of Chefs' Societies (WACS) competition, further promoting Jeju's cuisine globally. Jeju aims to enhance the international stature of its traditional dishes by pushing for inclusion in the 'Ark of Taste,' an initiative that identifies and preserves endangered food heritage. Currently, five Jeju food items are listed, contributing significantly to Korea's overall entries. Additionally, Jeju plans to invest over 640 million Korean won to improve and promote its traditional food industry.
