Gangnam area ↔️ Airport

I visit a clinic in Korea every few months, so I travel there regularly. This time I went to Gangnam from Cheongju Airport for the first time, so here’s a report. Cheongju Airport isn’t as big as Incheon, so it wasn’t crowded at all, and immigration (passport control) was finished about 10 minutes after arrival (I went on the first day of a three-day holiday). The airport has very few restaurants and almost no shops, so killing time there can be pretty difficult.

I took a bus from Cheongju Airport to Gangnam. If you can get a ticket for a direct service (see photo) ahead of time, definitely get it. I couldn’t get one on the way there, so I first took an intercity bus (Bus 747) to Cheongju Express Bus Terminal (about 50 minutes), then transferred to a Seoul-bound bus that goes to Express Bus Terminal (Seoul, Gangnam)!

I checked Naver to get to Cheongju Express Bus Terminal. There's a department store? in front of the bus platforms, so I recommend buying tasty bread or sweets there and waiting (the salted bread filled with whipped cream was insanely good)!

I took the 1:10 PM bus and arrived at Cheongju Express Bus Terminal around 2 PM. I had booked the 3 PM bus in advance, so the 3 PM bus got me to Express Bus Terminal (Seoul, Gangnam) around 4:40 PM. If there’s traffic it can take a bit longer, so leave extra time. I arrived in Gangnam around 5 PM, so it took a fair amount of time! But immigration (passport control) was quick and the terminal isn’t huge, so you don’t have to walk far, haha, which is why I recommend Cheongju Airport for people with extra time. There aren’t many restaurants, so I think it’s best to buy something before heading to the airport. The basement of Central City had lots of tasty sweets, so I’m already looking forward to the next time, haha
