Two hours in Seongsu-dong — Hetras

Hetras
The last stop of those two hours was Hetras.
I've known about this brand for a while because of Kwon Ji-yong (G-Dragon),
Like many FAM members, how could I not have used Hetras hand cream!
I think I'm pretty rational, I only use two or three different scents!

I’d also visited Hetras’s pop-up store when it opened in Taiwan and bought something,
When I was in Taiwan I bought some diffusers, fabric sprays, body lotion…
When visiting Korea, I also thought about going to the Hetras flagship store,
But I worry the items will be too heavy, so I probably can't bring them back to Taiwan,
So I never ended up going.
This time I suddenly wanted to go to Hetras,
Actually, it was because I was on the way from Whipped House to Ongeundal,
I was drawn to Hetras's architecture (as I mentioned in the last two posts! The Seongsu-dong store really each have their own charm, it feels like living inside art just walking around).
Hetras’s store in Seongsu-dong perfectly showcases how industrial style combines with modern decor,
This four-story Hetras building keeps the look of the old factory conversions typical of Seongsu-dong, and although it’s meant to give off a rugged vibe, I somehow felt a bit of a Harry Potter atmosphere when I saw it.
As I headed back the way I came to the subway station, I thought I should stop by the store this time and take a look.
Before even going inside, I looked at its floor-to-ceiling windows and the earthy reddish-brown exterior, and noticed a row of samurai-style iron railings paired with relaxed wooden benches, which already made me want to take photos.

At the entrance and when looking up, you'll see wooden doors and wooden railings paired with glass doors and windows, topped by a simple, two-tone 'Hetras' sign.

The store’s color palette felt contrasting to me, compared with the exterior, the interior uses soft off-white and lively pale yellow, giving me a very cozy feeling.

There were many more displays and product arrangements than at a pop-up store, but the dense layout didn’t feel cramped or oppressive. I think it’s because the shop has large, full-length mirrors, so photos easily fit more than one person, and groups of friends can definitely take pictures together. It’s a great fit for Seongsu-dong, where people usually browse with a few close friends, and it also makes the space feel much larger.

Although I didn't have enough time that day to try the shopping and scent-selection process, I still felt that immersive atmosphere.
Let's finish this post by talking about Hetras products!
Known as the 'national fragrance,' Hetras focuses on natural plant-based scents crafted by top perfumers, offering high-quality home fragrances, hand cream, and bath & body products, all at very affordable prices. Thanks to its minimalist, classy packaging, you'll often spot it in many cafes.

In addition to the personal care line, Hetras also offers car fragrance! During holidays or collaborations, Hetras often updates its packaging with special limited-edition designs, and on this visit I spotted the Hetras Hello Kitty series. Great for gifts or collecting for yourself.

Like many Korean beauty and fragrance brands, they give away small travel-sized gifts when you spend over a certain amount, and Hetras' current one is the 'Solid Perfume Key Ring'!

Whether you're a fragrance fan or not, you should definitely stop by!
