Hello!

The University of Seoul isn’t located in the busiest tourist area, but it has all the daily conveniences you need, and it’s very easy to get around with Haegi Station and Cheongnyangni Station nearby. Around campus you’ll find supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants, so you can get almost everything you need, and since it’s not a tourist spot prices are more reasonable, Cheongnyangni Market is great for shopping. On the walk to and from class you’ll mostly see local students and residents, and that feeling of blending into everyday life helps you slowly get used to living in Korean.

The Language Institute's class pace is pretty fast but solid, with daily listening, speaking, reading, and writing practice. The teacher uses Korean almost the entire time and occasionally a little English. Because there are lots of daily conversation exercises, even if you don't speak perfectly at first, you'll gradually develop a feel for the language.
There’s homework almost every day, and frequent quizzes so you can see what you need to work on. There’s a midterm exam and a final exam, so slacking off won’t fly 🤣 Before coming to Korea I took Korean classes in Taiwan, and honestly the difference is huge. Attending the Language Institute helped me improve really fast, the teachers care a lot about teaching, and you can learn so much.

University of Seoul Language Institute gave me the biggest change, it probably made me less afraid of learning languages. Korean is no longer just textbook grammar, it's a tool I use every day. It's okay if I don't speak perfectly, what matters is being willing to speak up and try.
This period at the Language Institute was for me not just about learning Korean, it felt more like a process of readjusting and rediscovering myself. Looking back, those busy days of returning to student life were truly worth it, I'm really glad I decided to come to Korea to study at the Language Institute.
Thank you all for reading my post ❤️
