Avoid travel hairstyle disasters! Don’t cut corners and pick a random salon, it can really ruin your mood
I sincerely advise all ladies planning to travel and wanting a pretty style for photo ops, please, please don’t be like me and cut corners, be lazy and not do your research, randomly pick a salon for a hairstyle, only to get burned all the way through, ruining your whole trip’s mood!
I originally went on this trip full of anticipation to take great photos and really enjoy myself, planning to get a polished travel hairstyle that would be photogenic and easy to manage the whole time. Because I didn’t want to spend time sorting through salons and reading real customer reviews, I decided to cut corners and rely on ready-made references, picking a place at random. I didn’t compare options or ask many questions, thinking a simple style wouldn’t be a big deal, and I never expected to fall into such a huge trap.
I felt a bit disappointed the moment the styling was finished, but I thought maybe I just hadn’t adjusted yet. Once I left, the problems were immediately obvious. Even though I specifically turned on a light beauty filter, it couldn’t hide the roughness of the hair at all, the overall styling had no layers, it didn’t fit the travel / trip vibe of being casual yet photogenic, and it was nowhere near the look I wanted. The most frustrating part is this hairstyle is super hard to manage, a bit of wind and it instantly becomes a mess, no amount of brushing brings it back, and I looked totally disheveled, with none of the polished / refined feeling you want when going out to enjoy yourself.
I'm the type of person who's easygoing and tolerant of most things, I never liked being picky, whether it's eating, shopping, or doing other things, as long as it's not too outrageous, I won't say much. This time I lowered my expectations early, just wanting a simple, flattering hairstyle suitable for travel / trip. Even so, the finished result at this shop didn't meet even the most basic travel hairstyle standards, the technique was sloppy, the styling lacked care, and they didn't adjust based on my hair type, face shape, or travel plans, they just handled it mechanically and casually, and the final result was disappointing.
With this haircut that I totally don't like, I still had to force myself to keep shopping and visiting attractions, turning an otherwise happy trip into a bunch of bad moments. Watching other tourists with carefully styled looks calmly taking photos and enjoying themselves, and then looking at my messy appearance, I felt so wronged and regretful, regretting that I chose to cut corners / be lazy, and why I didn't take a little time to do homework / do your research and carefully pick a reliable salon / shop.
This time I really learned my lesson for good, and I want to share my personal experience to warn all the ladies: when you travel, whether it’s getting a hairstyle, picking a restaurant, or booking a hotel, you can’t rely on luck, and you shouldn’t cut corners or be lazy. If you’re too lazy to do homework, too lazy to read real customer reviews, too lazy to compare and filter, the only one who ends up losing out, feeling wronged, and having your trip ruined is you. Especially for styling choices that affect your travel experience, you must do plenty of research, look at real customer feedback, pick salons that have solid skills and genuinely care, and never choose blindly, so you don’t get burned for nothing.
Ladies who want a polished/travel-ready hairstyle for your trip, you really need to be extra careful with this place! Don’t let a bad haircut ruin a long-awaited trip, seriously do your homework, it’s always more reliable than blindly cutting corners / being lazy!
