On this trip to Busan, one itinerary I found well worth arranging was the Songdo Sea Cable Car paired with the Yonggung Suspension Bridge. I originally just wanted a place to enjoy the sea views and take a relaxing walk, but the whole experience turned out richer than I expected, giving a nice feeling of slowly savoring the journey. We started the day by buying tickets at the cable car station; the layout on site is actually pretty clear, the ticket area and entrance are well signed, so it’s hard to get lost. There weren’t a huge number of people, but the queuing moved at an acceptable pace.

If you don’t want to queue on site, you can also use a platform to make advance booking / online tickets and then redeem them at the venue to save time. This is really handy for people with tight schedules.
Once you board the cable car, the cabin slowly lifts off the ground and starts moving out over the sea. There's a little nervousness at first as you leave the ground, but you're quickly captivated by the view in front of you.

Looking down from high above, you can clearly see the changes in the color of the sea and the shoreline's terrain. The whole scene feels very clean, without too many cluttered buildings, which makes it feel comfortable. As the cable car moves forward, the view opens up more, and the city skyline in the distance slowly appears. The sea and the city appear together in the frame, giving the scenery a lot of depth.
When you reach the middle section, you can see more of Busan's buildings and harbor views, this stretch is especially good for photo spots. Whether you're capturing sea views or the city, it’s very picturesque.

It's short enough that you can take your time enjoying the scenery without feeling rushed. For first-time visitors to Busan, I highly recommend this kind of experience, it lets you get to know the city from a different perspective.
After arriving at the other end, you can head toward the Yonggung Suspension Bridge. The route is a coastal promenade, a relaxed walk with sea views along the way.
Yonggung Suspension Bridge is a walkway built between the rocks and the sea. From the entrance it stretches out toward the middle of the ocean, and it actually looks a bit spectacular.

Walking on the bridge has a slight sway, but it’s not enough to be scary. Both sides have protective features, so it feels safe. What draws more attention is the sea views under your feet, you can see waves hitting the rocks, which feels very immersive. Keep walking forward and you’ll see the coastline blending with the city. No need to rush this part, you can walk slowly and enjoy the photo spots, the overall vibe is very relaxed.

When you reach the middle or the end and look back, you'll notice the path you just walked actually feels quite elevated, and you'll get a greater sense of accomplishment.

If you have extra time, you can actually stay in this area a bit longer, because the views look different from each angle. When the weather is good, the whole vista is even more expansive.

After walking across the suspension bridge, there are also some street food stalls nearby where you can replenish your energy. This time I saw some Korean fried snacks stands, the prices aren’t expensive, and they felt pretty local.

Picking up some snacks to eat while strolling is one of the most relaxing parts of a trip. The whole Matsudo cable car and Yonggung Suspension Bridge half-day itinerary works best with about half a day set aside. It’s not too tiring and not rushed, so it’s great to schedule in the middle of your trip as a chill break. This time I felt the route is more than just sightseeing, it’s about experiencing Busan’s different sides from high above to the water level and along the coastal paths. From the wide-open views on the cable car to the up-close sea views at the suspension bridge, each section offers a different experience.
If it’s your first time in Busan, I highly recommend this itinerary, it’s a quick way to feel the charm of a port city. If you’ve been here before, it’s still great to revisit, since the scenery changes with different times and weather.
For me, it wasn't any single spot I liked the most, it was the whole pace of the experience. Starting with the cable car, then walking the suspension bridge, and finally casually grabbing some snacks, taking it slow like that is what left the strongest impression.
If you're planning a trip to Busan and want a spot that's not too tiring but offers great scenery, the Songdo Sea Cable Car plus Yonggung Suspension Bridge is a perfect choice.
