In May of this year, about six months ago, I had SMILE LASIK eye surgery at Mingmu Eye Clinic and have gradually gotten used to life without glasses. This time I returned to Seoul for a trip and booked a follow-up appointment with dry eye treatment through Creatrip. Since I had already gone through the procedure once, it felt familiar and easy.

The staff were as friendly as always. For check-in you only needed to provide your English name, and there was still a Chinese interpreter available. A full preoperative examination was done; besides a vision test, they also checked tear film balance, eye pressure, and so on. I had been a bit worried that excessive eye strain would have caused my vision to worsen, but the tests showed my vision was barely maintained at 1.0 in both eyes. I can only say everyone must take good care of their eyes—use artificial tears whenever you can; applying them at least four times a day should be considered the minimum.

After a short wait I was called in to see the doctor. The doctor said that based on the data I do have a dry eye issue and recommended using more artificial tears. Because the doctor's remarks were quite brief (maybe the type who keeps words to a minimum), if you have any questions, please ask the interpreter directly and have them help inquire!
When I went it was a weekday afternoon, and there weren’t many people waiting in the outpatient area (but there did seem to be quite a few people in the surgical area), so after paying I went straight into the exam room for treatment.

⬆️Specialized instrument examination for dry eye disease
After the dry eye treatment with the warm, flashing electrophysical device, the doctor used the instrument to 'squeeze' the oil glands of the eyes. The process is just like popping a pimple — I have to say, it is really very painful! Imagine popping a pimple on your eyelid, and then doing that several more times! But after the procedure, my vision was indeed clearer! I also paid extra for artificial tears; one box cost a little over 30,000 KRW. It's optional to buy them. If you have time while traveling in Korea, it's really worth setting aside time to get this done! The next time I travel to Korea, I'll probably get the dry eye treatment again.
Also, because the dry eye treatment itself costs 250,000 KRW, the clinic will add about another 30,000 KRW in consultation fees on-site. Creatip's deposit can only be applied to the procedure, so you will need to pay the consultation fee separately at the clinic. Also, thanks to the Taiwan staff member who gave us a small snack gift pack — we really liked it — and thanks to the lovely staffer for sharing how to choose artificial tears!
