On this trip to Busan, one of the most worthwhile activities I planned was taking the Diamond Yacht out to sea to see the night view. I originally just wanted an easy way to enjoy Gwangalli Bridge, but after actually experiencing it, I found the transition from sunset to night was more layered than I imagined, and it became the most memorable part of the trip.
The day we arrived at the dock was in the early evening, the sky still carrying a bit of light, and the entire sea surface showing a soft bluish tone. The area around the dock wasn’t too noisy, instead there was a sense of anticipation for heading out to sea. From afar you could see the docked yachts, completely different from regular land-based attractions.

After check-in is complete, you can get ready to board. The yacht is more stable than you might expect, and the space is fairly roomy, so it doesn’t feel cramped. Once on board, you’re free to stand on the deck or sit inside, each spot offering a slightly different view.

As the boat slowly left the pier, you could feel a gentle sway that wasn't uncomfortable. The sea breeze blew against your face, leaving you completely relaxed. As the distance from the shore increased, the view opened up even more.

The sea surface takes on a hint of gold at dusk, and the distant city begins to light up. Standing on the deck, you can see the meeting point of the sea, sky, and city at the same time, a scene that's hard to experience on land.
Then the yacht will gradually approach Gwangalli Bridge, and the scenery starts to become more layered. The bridge's structure looks especially clear in the sunset, and many people take out their phones to take photos.

As the sky slowly darkened, the whole atmosphere changed with it. The city's lights came on one by one, and the sea surface reflected flecks of light, making you feel like you were in a movie scene.

The yacht will pause briefly in a good spot so everyone can fully enjoy the night view. The lights of Gwangalli Bridge look especially bright at night, and with the surrounding skyscrapers lit up, the whole scene is truly captivating.

The most anticipated moment is actually the fireworks portion afterward. When the fireworks start, the whole atmosphere lights up instantly. The fireworks bloom above the sea surface, set against the city backdrop, creating a truly spectacular scene.

Watching fireworks from the boat feels completely different than from the shore, you’re closer and it feels more immersive. With the gentle sway of the waves, the whole scene becomes more dynamic.
As the fireworks end, night fully falls. At this time you can quietly watch the sea surface and the city lights, the whole pace becomes more relaxed, and it’s a great moment to unwind.

On the return trip, many people choose to stay on the deck to feel the breeze, while others go back inside to rest. The whole itinerary isn’t too rushed, the timing is just right, letting you fully experience the transition from dusk to night.

The boat is actually a great place for photos, whether with the sea, the bridge, or the night skyline, you can capture very different vibes. The angles I got this time all felt worth keeping as memories.

When you get there, just check in and board, no need to stand in line to buy tickets, the whole process is smooth. For people with tight schedules, booking in advance saves a lot of time and avoids the worry of the event being sold out.
Overall, Diamond Yacht is not just about seeing the night view, it’s a complete experience from sunset to night, from calm to lively. From the sea surface scenery at the start, to the thrill of approaching the bridge, to the climax brought by the fireworks, each stage has its own feeling.
If it's your first time in Busan, I highly recommend planning this kind of itinerary, it lets you see the city from a different perspective. If you're traveling with family, friends, or a partner, it's also a great experience for making memories.
For me, the best part of this trip wasn’t a single moment, but the way it changed over time. Leaving while it was still light outside, then watching the lights and fireworks appear at night, the gradual passage of time made the whole experience more memorable.
If I get the chance to come to Busan again, I think I would still want to take it once more, especially to see that feeling of watching fireworks out at sea again.
