My daily life attending classes in Korea π°π·

I've always wanted to try a long stay in Korea and I also have a bit of basic Korean.
Everyone says studying Korean in Korea helps you improve very fast
That's why I chose to go to GANADA Korean Language Institute
About a 5-minute walk from Hongik University Station Exit 2

Primary reasons for choosing?
The institute's registration is handled on a monthly basis
Unlike university language schools that mostly use three-month terms
(Worried that if I enroll in the language school I might not adapt to life?)
How are classes taught at GANADA Korean Language Institute?
There will be an online 1:1 placement test before the course starts
Level placement will be determined on the first day of class
(Even with absolutely zero background, you can also say you want to start learning from level 1)
I was placed in Level 3 class (Intermediate)

The teachers all teach entirely in Korean, but I can basically understand everything.
If you come across a word you don't know, just raise your hand and ask the teacher
The teacher will explain it in a simpler way
The textbook is the college's self-compiled material
One lesson per day. Each lesson will have three main grammar points.
The teacher will keep asking questions and ask students to use the grammar they have learned to answer.
Sentences you create yourself will be more memorable!
Because of that, the example sentences often can't be finished being copied π

If there is still time after finishing the grammar section
There will be additional conversation practice
Usually it's done with the classmate next door in a question-and-answer format, and the final content is compiled and presented.
The daily class schedule is:
Review the previous lesson (textbook exercises) β’ Start the new lesson β’ Additional dialogue practice (there will occasionally be a dictation test on the text)
Are you feeling under a lot of pressure?
Attend class attentively (3 hours) + homework & review (2 hours)
The pace is still manageable
If you want to seriously prepare for the exam, you may need more time!
There will be a final upgrade quiz: listening, speaking, reading, and writing
The oral exam will be given to everyone in writing in advance
Our topic this time is: cultural differences between Korea and one's own country
What I wrote is about differences in breakfast culture βΊοΈ
(The content will be graded by the teacher first, so no need to worry)
Did I really make progress last month?
When it comes to speaking, there's definitely an improvement!
For example: in daily life when you encounter store staff you can communicate more quickly, and when you want to chat with other classmates you can also practice speaking
In class you can also learn about cultural differences between different countries
I find it very interesting π

(Small class sizes β less pressure)

Highly recommend overall! Would like to sign up again if I get the chance!
